im just asking if the breastfeed mother take smoke while breastfeed is good to baby's health?

you know it took me years to finally get pregnant.
then i had a miscarriage which broke my heart.
then another year to get pregnant again and finally have the joy of a child to love and cherish.
then i get on a website like this where imbeciles are blessed by the Grace of God to have children so that they can even contemplate idiotic notions such as smoking whilst breast feeding. come on with all the media attention these days to smoking and it's effects to health, surely you can't be that stupid!
i mean can you really picture yourself feeding baby with a cloud of smoke swirling over his/her head - DISGUSTING!!

smoking goes to the baby. If pot then your baby is getting high and it stays in your body for a long time and if your talking about smoking a cigarette put the child down and go outside, Have you heard of all the damage second hand smoke does

What exactly are you smoking? Either way, it is usually recommended not to smoke at all while breast-feeding. Amanda who answered above me--where did you get your information? Everything you put in your body goes straight to the baby when breatsfeeding, so how would it be healthier to breastfeed than formula feed when smoking? Duh.

Well, it's better to breastfeed and smoke, than formula feed and smoke, but all around, it's better to not smoke at all.

if you smoke while breastfeeding yes you can affect the baby, the baby will be addicted to nicotine and other very bad health effects.
