It would be great if she could put together a photo montage of the years they have been together, especially highlighting significant moments. It would be a personalized gift which I am sure they would enjoy... Going over all of the years of being together. Wow... 60th!

Just take them out to dinner or have an anniversary party for them. I'm sure anything would honor them. A pair of matching watches would be a nice gift or a family portrait. Who says it has to be traditional. I think sentiment is more important. Better to give them something you know they love. IIf you have a large family the children could go in together and get mom some diamonds and dad a diamond tie pin or a hat pin if he doesn't wear ties. Or watches with diamonds. I think that is a good idea.

Traditionally you give diamonds for a 60th Wedding anniversary, but I am sure that your uncle and his wife will not expect such extravigance! Why not try to arrange a Telegram from the Queen Telegrams can be sent for 60th, 65th, 70th and every following year. If you have the marriage certificate you can apply direct to Buckingham Palace or the ONS will verify the details and notify them for you for a small charge.(England & Wales only) Or make up a memory book of their marriage fot them, personal gifts mean so much more. Hope this helps.

Since my parents are at the age of having gone through the depression, my dad in particular is extremely concerned about money, so anything expensive would not be appealing to them. However, they are very excited about me planning a party for them, and they love scrapbooks -- and they loved a cd that was produced with music for my aunt & uncle's 50th anniversary. So I think that the party and the CD will be the focus of my energy. Has anyone found 60th Anniversary paper products, napkins, plates, etc anywhere?

When considering gifts for the 60th anniversary, think twice before purchasing anniversary plates, jewelry, knick knacks, etc. as many senior citizens are trying to reduce clutter and possessions in their lives. A dinner at a special restaurant, tickets to a show

Maybe you could find a company that makes paperweights in a diamond shape made of silver. Or a diamond shape frame.
Get some scratch offs called diamonds and put them in a card,(which they do sell)

how about a photo album of pictures of family and either cut the pic in the shape of diamonds of different sizes or find background paper with diamonds , u could even number the pages with playing cards in the suit of diamonds or cut the middle of the card out and use it as a picture frame

This is a very special occasion. God has truly blessed them. I hope they still like each other.

Make a CD for them with songs that have 'diamonds' in the title.

Rent movies for them with 'diamonds' in the title.

'Diamond like' cuff links or tie pin for Dad.

Make a scrap book of the 2 of them and decorate it with silver glitter.

Stay blessed.
