You have got to start watching what you are eating, cut out the garbage, eat veggies and fruit. No alcohol or beer (or very little).

Start walking everywhere. The more you walk the faster you will lose. If you school has a exercise room, try using an elliptical runner, this is easier on the knees. Start with as much as you can do, then keep pusing yourself to increase the time spent.

Leslie Sansone has some walking videos that are pretty good. Start using those with weights.

Start weight lifting, if they have a circuit like at curves, just lift what you can, for 12 reps, as it gets easier, add weight. Muscle burns calories.

I had a similar problem. I also got to a point where I really didn't like my weight and I'm single so you know I'm trying to stay on my game. Ha ha.

Walking really is the best. I haven't changed anything about my diet(note: I don't over eat. I never have. I just don't eat good things like ice cream for dinner and candy for lunch) and I started walking more this semester and I lost thirteen pounds in three months. Walk a lot.

Walk whenever you think about it, walk to class instead of taking the bus, walk home, take the long way home. Walk as much as possible. And also do try to increase drinking water and less soda, and try to eat smaller meals so that you have a high metabolism through out the day.

Also don't try to lose too much weight too fast because your skin won't stretch back well and you will get ugly flaps of skin, also you will get more stretch marks and it isn't good for your heart either. Plus if you lose the weight gradually and take more time, then it will become a lifestyle change and you will be more likely to stick with it forever.

Remember what you want is a lifestyle change, that always takes time! Good luck!

Start by walking everywhere you can. You won't see results right away, but you will feel better and have much more motivation. You need to do cardio and strength training to lose weight. Starting is the hardest part but you can do it!

Walking, Swimming........................ in all seriousness..... not to hurt your feelings but have you considered weight loss surgery?? I had a friend who was your height and within a few pounds of your weight. It has changed her life!! She is now 145 lbs and is so much healthier than she was.

Being this overweight can be so hard!! I do understand!! Hang in there!!

Order a special diet like Jenny Craig or something (if you have enough money... you do have a full-time job, right?) and wait until you've lost a lot to start exersizing.

You are too heavy for exercising...it is bad for your back and knees. Try to restrict the amount of food you eat. Wait until you lose like 70lbs and start exercising.
