my boy friend never attempts to kiss me but asks me to kiss him everytime when there is mood built up. Is this the normal thing for a guy who is in relationship? i don't know i want him to kiss me instead of asking me to do that.

My boyfriend is the same way, then he gets upset because I don't ask him to kiss me, he says " you never ask me for a kiss, you never ask me for a hug, I'm always asking you though" I'm not the type to beg or ask for a kiss, so it causes some arguments.
Maybe it is a guy thing.

It could mean a ton of things, but the three most typical reasons i can think of are 1. he's not the dominant or first kiss type. 2. he doesn't know if you want to go forward or not so he asks you for a kiss. or 3. he has an odd quirk about kisses where he must always ask for a kiss, sort of a utmost gentleman complex.

Why don't you try this: don't kiss him when he tells you to and wait for him to do that. Kiss him unexpectedly when he dint tell you to.
You have to train him to do what you want.
