Amber is a nice name...doesn't make me think of a stripper or anything sleazy.
You should tell your friend to get some manners and respect your decision--its YOUR baby, not hers... I think that telling someone that the name they are considering for their child is ugly/sleazy/anything else negative, they need a punch in the face.

No. I like the name Amber. It's pretty. It's your kid, name it what you want! I knew a lady who named her daughter Amber Lee and I always loved that name. She pronounced it as one name like Amberly.
