just wondering.. i've been told that i'm underweight.. and i am.. i'm 88 lbs and 5'4.5''.. but i don't look that skinny.. i have a 24 inch waist.. anyway i want to be a dancer,and i dance as excercise.. how often should i excercise?? thanx!!

At least 30 minutes a day, and then increase your time as you get more physically fit and used to exercising. A good diet is important, too. Eat your fruits and veggies!

Well, to stay at a healthy weight, it's reccomended that you exercise at least 30 min. 6 days a week.
If you are a dancer, I recomend practicing for about 20 mins a day of dancing(separate from the 30 min.) The 30 mins could be any other aerobic activity, such as swimming, jogging, etc.
I would also reccomend that you do some strength training 2x a week( this will NOT make you bulk up). this WILL build mucsle, making you feel better, look better, and perform better.
These are just suggestions, talk to your dr. or even you dance teacher.

If you are as small as you say and you dance, then I wouldn't worry too much about getting any "extra" exercise. I am 5'4 & 1/2", and I used to dance. The exercise that you get from practice, competition, dancing for fun and from being an active 13 year old, should be enough! Trust me, you have lots of time ahead of you to worry about exercise, weight, staying in shape, etc.! Please try not to worry too much about that kind of stuff right now. Have fun being 13! Otherwise, maybe you could ask your PE teacher? Dance Instructor? Or maybe even go to a gym and ask if there's anyone that could give you advise on an exercise routine, in addition to your schedule, now. (Just be cautious of some sales people trying to make a living.) Maybe your parents could help? Good luck and take care....

you do need to gain a little weight, but excercise as much as you want to. dancing is fun. so do what you like and you'll be great at it. just try to eat a little more pizza!!

Do yoga everyday and drink one cup of milk and take one teaspoon of honey. Eat salted almonds & cashew nuts and lots of vegetables and drink plenty of water.
