It's happened to me, twice ! Well, that, my friends, is online dating. I did have a very nice date and a relationship that lasted about a year. But in the end, she's married and lies, lies and more lies. But like tonight, the girl I met was anything but pretty and it was really...bad ! But I did take her to a nice restaurant and paid for everything. So, what would you have done ? Would you just say hi, nice seeing you and don't ever call me again ? Or would you go through the evening in agony and pains, just to be nice ?

I definitely am not an ugly person ! Blind date is fun, and that is why I like to do that. Most, if not all, ended up call me back, all the time. So, I guess I look ok to them ! Give me a break !

That is so sweet of you to give her a nice dinner. You showed a lot of class. If you told her you'll call her do it. Then just let her know there wasn't any sparks for you but you enjoyed your date. Just don't hurt her. It's hard for people out there who are not very attractive. I'm sure they get dumped a lot. Next time get a good picture of her before you take another ugly girl out and have to go through that again.

It was once said: Make an ugly woman your wife and she'll keep you happy forever!

Seriously, be a little more selfish (not mean or too selfish, just a little), also if it is a blind date have a good back-up plan like a lesser restaurant or have your friend give you an "emergency" call.

I used to just finish out the date. I would be very nice to the chick as if she weren't hiddeous and pray that nobody I knew spied me with her. After that I wouldn't answer her calls for a few days and then I would say that I was just really busy and finding that I don't have time to date. I would say something like "I'm really sorry, it's just not fair to you that we see each other because I guess I just don't have the time to really devote like I should. You're really sweet though... blah blah blah." That way you're not hurting her feeling as much either and you got yourself out of a mess at the same time.

I don't recommend going in for the easy bang with an ugly chick. It makes your excuse even harder later and it's especially harder when they say they'll just be friends with benefits or something.

I would have enjoyed the date for what it was and said the goodnights and then later either online or phone let them know that although I had a nice type that i didn't feel any chemistry between us and i think we are better off as friends.

If they come up to you first say sorry but i'm waiting for a friend you may live with the guilt at least you won't feel embarshed but the right thing to do is go out with them

Suck it up. It is very shallow to judge people by their looks. I doubt if you are a George Clooney look-alike. Learn to appreciate other qualities in people. Nicole Kidman was an ugly duckling and so was Julia Roberts.

I would go through with the date and make the best of it. although she might not be your type physically she might not be bad company. Then I would get my number changed next day and make like Houdini and disappear. Jk :)~

Cut the crap... Just say.. "I'm sorry, you're not what I expected... Gotta go.. bye!" and run like hell!

Trust me.. it's gonna save you the agony, the money, and your precious time.. and keep your status intact.

Because, if you are a high social status guy, you really don't want to lower yourself to accept anything less. You do have to be picky.

Trust me, I've tried it,... and it sucked... it didn't go anywhere, and I just wasted my time. And don't do blind dates, if possible.
