My religion is a set of my own beliefs so it has no sacred text. But if it did, I'd say the sheer amount of kitten pictures I'd put in it would make it THE sacred text. I mean, come on, who wouldn't want salvation AND kittens? Plus maybe a secret spring loaded shotgun to take out non-believers...
...It's a good thing I don't have the resources or the patience to make a "sacred" text or else I'd be facing a hell I don't even believe in.

The Holy Bible is THE sacred text and the ONLY sacred text. It is because God said so. No other book will ever come close to it PERIOD.

lol, things are as sacred as you make them. My texts are only sacred to me, and I don't expect them to be sacred to anyone else. As you might have guessed from that statement, I am not a Christian.

Krishna spoke Bhagavad Gita Himself 5,000 years ago. The only scripture spoken directly by God. All others are about God or His representative. It was spoken on a battlefield where 640,000,000 died in that battle between Truth and evil. Krishna did not want it to take place He kept trying to stop the situation but The evil forces wanted it so He Whacked them. When Krishna Kills directly, they get a type of liberation so one can not compare this war to any other. He does not recommend war unless Evil trys to take over. Just like A police man may not want to kill someone but if the criminal persists the officer has to act to protect himself or others. Scripture must be taken in a pure diciplic succession or it is not bonafide. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada is in a pure diciplic succession which stems all the way from the appearance of Krishna.

The Holy Bible was inspired by God, and God Himself took on flesh and entered into our human history as a man and validated what the Old Testament prophets had said. Then Jesus also performed numerous miracles that only God could do such as raising people, including Himself, from the dead.
I am Catholic, so I also believe that the Bible has to be taken into context with how the Church has always interpreted it from the beginning and by the apostolic authority of the *Magisterium of the Church today.
*Magisterium means the bishops of the Catholic Church in union with the Pope.
