My friend does not have health insurance, and he is currently in the hospital. Is there a company who will allow you to make payments to them, as they pay off your medical bills.

A friend of mine was in a similar situation. In addition to
being able to pay for his hospital stay in installments he
was also able to save over $100,000 with My Simple Card.

Tell your friend to ask for one of the hospital social workers NOW. They can either get him emergency Medicaid or set him up with one of the funds that helps people with huge medical bills and no insurance or help him get set up with a payment plan with the hospital if he doesn't qualify for anything else.

Do this sooner rather than later - it'll be harder the more he puts it off!

Sure, that's called your credit card company. You can also get a bank to give you a personal loan, and that works the same way.

It's cheaper, however, to work directly with the billing department of the bank and set up payments directly to them.

He can ask his doctor, most hospitals will let you make monthly payments without interest, so it would be best for him to do this. Or he could try Social Services.
