I think after graduation (well for me before) it becomes more of a thing about you just ask a person if they want to go out sometime and then if things become more serious then it is more like "I don't want to see other people" and agree to that but I don't think adults (that I know of) actually say "will you go out with me" or "will you be my gf/bf". It is just assumed after awhile I guess.

The first one is still OK . The second one NO. After high school all the drama and immaturity SHOULD disappear. There are some though that just can't seem to grow up.
