eat small amounts of food to start out and slowly work your way up until you are eating like normal and remember you are beautiful and being skinny will not make you any more beautiful. keep telling your self this everyday until you believe it. i am so sorry you are going through this and i hope you get to feeling better soon.

You're definitely dealing with an eating disorder if you're making yourself throw up. If you have no appetite, that's not good, but please try to eat! Think about these things... WHY do you want to make yourself throw up? Do you not like how you look? Why do you want to lose weight? You're beautiful how you are, no matter what shape or size. Just because you don't match the standards of the media, or what other people think, doesn't mean they're right. You don't need to be super-thin, or even thin, to be beautiful. Please try, for the sake of yourself, to eat more. And DO NOT make yourself throw up anymore. That's awful for your body, and just disgusting. People think they'll look better when they're skinnier, but they really don't. You lose your curves and you just look thin, bony, and unhealthy. You'll always be more tired than you should be, and you'll be fatigued. You might even start passing out, and eating disorders can stunt your growth. Eventually, you'll quit having to use the bathroom, your insides will start shutting down, and you will die. And after all of this, it will just keep getting harder and harder for you to consume food. Please help yourself now and starting eating healthy again. Don't shut out food completely! If you want to keep a good figure, ask a trusted adult or your DOCTOR for a good plan on eating healthy, but still getting the right amount of food and nutrients and protein intake. If you can't help yourself, get someone else to help you. Tell a trusted adult now to help you get the help you need, and please visit your doctor, before it's too late. Good luck, and don't do this to yourself (whether you're trying to or not). It takes a lot of strength to overcome an eating disorder, but you can do it! Just start turning things around today... Have a great week, and take care of yourself.

Seek out counseling for your eating habits/disorders. It's not healthy to not eat anything hun! You need nutrition and food in your tummy or you can make yourself sick. Vomiting to try and lose weight isn't a good thing either, for sure! It can cause so many medical problems and conditions, none of which are worth the trouble you're going through! It can make your tooth enamel wear away (the stomach acids....) coming back up all of the time and eat at your esophagus, it can cause heart problems, etc.
Talk with your mom or dad or a trusted adult or friend at once.

Hi Chick -
I'm including a link to an awesome website called Something Fishy. They have a LOT of information about various EDs, information for families and friends, and also a bulletin board where sufferers can post for support. (It's moderated and doesn't allow specific numbers for everyone's safety.)
Both anorexia and bulimia can cause damage to the body and in some cases can kill. Purging (inducing vomiting) can cause a lot of problems including rupturing the oesophagus, tooth decay, and electrolyte imbalances.
While it IS possible to overcome an eating disorder, it's NOT easy and you NEED the support of people who are trained to help. Please talk to someone in REAL TIME - a parent, significant other, guidance counselor, clergy, mental health hotline, etc. Keep talking until you get the help you need AND DESERVE!!
Good luck, hun!

throwing up on purpose is a dangerous thing..you should definately go to a doctor or tell your parents about this. it's not only a physical, but a mental and emotional body dismorphic disorder. i'm a dancer and have many friends with eating issues and i know that its very difficult to just go cold turkey and stop with bad eating habits, so please go to a doctor. good luck!

This is really sad. Tell your parents or counselor at school immediately. You need help and support. You have to realize that nothing feels better than eating right/exercising and loving your body.

Stop....stop throwing up...the acids in your stomach will eat the lining of your throat, your tongue and the enamel on your teeth.
Eat...you can eat a balanced diet and lose weight, if you trully NEED to lose weight. I'd talk to a Dr. if I were you..

You need to talk to your parents or a counselor at school to get help for this. Eating disorders are very serious and left untreated they can lead to death sometimes. Talk to someone and get some help for this.
