does anyone know anything about a company called Bankers Life and Caualty Company?

i posted my resume on a website for jobseekers and this company contacted me for an interview but i dont know anything about them. how do i check the better business bureau online?

They contacted me and my boyfriend as well. I am a bit apprehensive about the company; however, my bf contacted them just to see what they are about and they set up an immediate interview (but he didn't go). It seems to me that it is a finance and sales position, and you most likely get paid off of commission (which is not my preference)

I have worked for them for 6 years. Very reputable in the senior market for 125 years. Great opportunity, but is commission only and you must be a hard, motivated person. Not an easy job, and the people who don't have work ethic and committment complain about the company and so forth, but if you do the job ethically and work super hard for a long time you can make an excellent income. I wouldnt' work for another insurance co offering the same products Bankers does. Customer service is what they are all about. Most Insurance companies don't believe in helping their clients file claims. Bankers does.

I know them as an insurance company. Primarily they sell and administer supplimental Medicare policies. Meaning, a person who has Medicare can purchase a policy from Banker's Life that will pay their Medicare deductible and/or copays.

I am sure with the Medicare Part D coming out, they probably also have prescription drug and Medicare HMO policies.

It is possible that they also handle other types of insurance policies as well.

Unless it's an agency job you're after, don't bother...They are owned by Conseco, and just announced that they are closing down most of the Chicago operation and moving to Indianapolis...
