when ever i ask my boyfriend if he's gonna spend the night at my house he always says: "let me phone my dad and ask him if i can" but lastnight he said "well the buses stopped running by now" why did he say that instead of saying "let me phone my dad and ask him"?

If he has to call his dad and ask if he can stay the night they you are too young to even be considering this. Point two on this is that if he can`t drive then i am going to assume that he is under sixteen, grow a brain and go to school.

Maybe he was being coy, or he was trying to assert his independence. I'm sure he gets tired of the dad act, too.
