she was cutting herself now how do i go about explaning that she is a daughter of my pastor and were really good friends but how do i tell her parents that she was cutting her self with a sewing tool.

DAER YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SAY ANY THING ONE DAY WHILE SHE IS GETTING OUT OF THE TUB ARE SHOWER ETHER HER MOTHER AUNT GRAND MOTHER HER DADDY BROTHER SISTER ANY FAMILY WILL CATCH HER IN THE NUDE AND SEE IT BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT HIDE IT FOR LONG MARKS START TO SHOW ON THE ARM LEGS HANDS FEET SHE CAN WEAR LONG CLOTHES FOR A WHILE BUT ONE DAY IT WILL BE ALL OVER BUT TAKE HER MOTHER FOR A WALK AFTER CHURCH AND LET HER KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR TELL HER TO KEEP HER EYES OPEN

I would talk to her about it first. If her problems seem out of control like she's contemplating suicide I would just tell her parents exactly what you saw. Don't sugar coat it. This girls life could be at stake.

This is a mental health issue and you must enlighten them. They will probably deny it and may possible even get mad at you, but you will plant the seed in their minds and they will investigate sooner or later.
Be strong for her. She is punishing herself for whatever reason.

Look,if you really love your friend,you should tell someone what she's doing.She might get mad at you at first but in the future she will thank you,she really needs help,professional help i mean.

do not wait tell her parents right away so she can get the help she needs she may be mad at you for telling but she will forgive for saving her life one day

you HAVE to tell someone!....this can be a serisous problem, sometimes even an addiction, and as it gets worse it only leads to death, you have to tell someone and get her help before it's too late, and one cut too deep and it will be.
