Dont you just wanna crack up when your cat is in a DEEP DEEP sleep, out cold and dead to the world. But as soon as you open up that can of cat food, its wide awake and so full of life.

Completely cracks me up. I have 3 cats. Every morning when I get up and start making coffee, I turn around and there they are-all sitting in a row-waiting. While I'm moving around, their heads follow me...up in the cabinet...down to the trash-all in unison.
Their treats come in a can. It doesn't matter where they are in the house, how deep asleep they are, or how quiet I am, they always hear it rattle...there they are - lined up again. Gotta love 'em

Cats can go from a state of deep sleep to wide awake at the twinkling of an eye - its one of the cats' survival mechanisms.

Yeah, it's funny.
My cat will be in the DEEPEST sleep and when I get up to go anywhere there he is, in my face. He is always looking for food even after he is very full. Such a scavenger at heart.
And he is only 8 months old, but was that way at 4 months when we got him from the shelter.
That's a man for you,-----FOOD, FOOD, first LOVE.

It's even better if they are snoring too!!! That's when I open the jar of catnip and they will come running from different rooms for it. They aren't stupid, that's for sure.
