When people would give thanks to God because of their abundant blessings..when really...they got it from the "world"...further saying they were so blessed that God blesses them.

I don't know....e.g. if a prostitute would be paid for the price of the loaf of bread...can s/he really thank God for it?

Sure, if she is a Christian. What part of grace do you not understand that these people have explained over and over. I would certainly not have sex with anyone for $1.49 though if that is what you are inferring.

They can thank God for whatever they want. They can even thank God for YOU. And YOU cannot stop them, lol.

Would it make a difference if the person thanking God for the loaf of bread was a minister? Why choose a prostitute?

I am grateful to my fellow human beings for everything I receive, and I appreciate myself for any part I have played in receiving it.

What you call "the world" is what is meant by the word "God." A blessing is when "God" meaning "the world" does you a kindness. Being blesssed means the same thing as being fortunate. Whenever the world gives you something good, you can be grateful for the good you have received. Who do you thank? "The world."

Yes she can. That is called worship in the mode of ignorance.Non the less she is more spiritually advanced than the atheist do gooder. Animals eat sleep mate and defend as do humans but humans are supposed to have the intelligence to question their existence and relationship with God. So if one does not do this they are just two legged animals. What does that make you?

No...
I believe that all good things that come into my life are from God. Down deep in all our hearts its hard to deny, as much as some of us might like to.
For example when something bad happens to us.... If we had a tape recorder I bet many of us would hear ourselves saying something like "Oh God help me!". So if blessings as we might recognize them as, are apparent in our lives. Why shouldn't we then tell God thanks.... and not just cry out to Him when we're in trouble..

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Matthew :43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

lol, good things are a blessing, bad things are a test. The logic is faulty, but has survived thousands of years because there's no argument.

We give thanks when He blesses us for our abundance because He promises He would bless our obedience. Hardly the same case for a hooker!

You wouldn't be breathing if it weren't for God... Your life is in his hands so you wouldn't be able to eat if you weren't alive...

Thanks for the persecution though.
