@ QueenA

"Small but Fierce"
Asking questions is persecuting you?? My Ancestors suffered more for christianity than your Jesus did. I have suffered more at the hands of christians more than what most you christians could ever endure. All I do is ask questions, and you are being persecuted??
Besides... the question was to atheist. So now you will have to ask Jesus for forgiveness because of your rudeness.

Heck, even other Christians hear it that way.

It really depends upon the subject matter and the attitude and line of argument of the speaker. If I'm discussing a moral topic with someone, such as homosexuality, for example, and that person doesn't use reason to support his claims but just keeps quoting the same old tired rants about sodomy from Leviticus as if that alone is going to convince me, then yes, he starts to sound a bit like sheep - except angrier and less cooperative.

If on the other hand, he simply says that he personally choses to follow the Old Testament recommendations and not engage in sodomy with anyone - male or female - but that he realizes that much of the Old Testament deals with ritual sins rather than moral sins and therefore might be open to debate, then I'll listen as carefully as he will.

The thing that strikes me about that video, however, is the guy's body language. Why is he constantly pointing his finger in my face and throwing his hands up in the air as if he's disgusted? According to his own premise, this was supposedly video tape of a normal sermon with the voiceover of sheep noises that an atheist would presumedly hear. If you focus on the body language alone, what he's saying is that he's angry, disgusted, and not particularly hopeful or optimistic about his followers getting his message. I thought Christianity was supposed to be about hope, charity, and love?

Perhaps the man who directed and starred in this video should listen and watch himself a little more carefully before he accuses the rest of us of not getting his message.

It's an ad hominem attack at atheists, ignoring the fact that many atheists are better versed in the Bible than most Christians. Ad hominem attacks are not loving, but rather hateful. The man seems to have a hard time differentiating between the two.

As an atheist, I deal with reality. When someone is speaking, regardless of who they are, I listen carefully to what they are saying. I can neither agree with nor question a statement that I have not heard.

So, to answer your question, no. This is not how I see Evangelical Christians.

Well, we 'can' prove that there 'are' SHEEP-!

While we cannot 'prove' that their IS a "god/s".

However, we 'can' prove that there is/are NO 'god/s' through rational-thought-processes, and experimentation.

It is easy to prove to yourself that God is imaginary.

The evidence is all around you.

Here are 50 simple proofs.
