Why would he create us and expect us to worship him throughout are lives? Is just egotistical and needs that kind of confidence booster that a whole world worshiping him would provide. Also how come if you don't worship him, he decides to send you to hell. YOU DIDN'T ASK TO BE CREATED BUT HE WILL SEND YOU TO TORMENT FOREVER!

I think you're on to something. The next logical question is, "Would a God like that really exist, or is just a fabrication that us mortals have developed to justify the harsh nature of an otherwise uncaring, unforgiving universe?"

No He created you and as your creator He has every right to ask you to worship Him. Because if you do not worship Him you will worship something else, He knows what is good for you so He needs to be the object of your worship.

He is not egotistical He is your Creator. He does not send you to hell, you send yourself to hell. His invitation is simple You who come to Me shall have eternal life, if you spend your whole life rejecting Him you send yourself there.

God is not selfish. God gave us free will (in my religion: Catholic) to do whatever we want. Also, I do not remember hearing or anything that God sends us to hell for not believing in him. God is love, if you get what I mean. He forgives and stuff. He grants prayers, what else would you want? If you don't believe in God, then that's your choice, but please do not say offensive things like what you said. And if God did not love us, we would not be here. As other people said and the bible said, God sent his ONLY begotten son to earth so that we may be saved. Please do not assume things such as becuase not believing in him sends you to hell. God gave us free will, so it's partly the parents' will to have the child (in my oppinion). Assuming that God sends you to hell because you don't believe in him, just makes a person sound rude and ignorant (no offense, just saying what I feel towards this matter.I'm not labeling.). God is fair. He is not what you think he is. This is based on partly my oppinion and the statements of the church.

:) Children ask the cutest questions.
1st I dont know what religion you consider yourself but I have found most religions have a lot of information that leaves interpretation to run rampant among different people. -- Basically you get a lot of different answers / meanings from a lot of different people--. Worship for example can have many many meanings, followings, or interpretations amongst people. God demands no one to Worship God. You have free choice.
2nd Hell it'self could be left left for interpretation. Earth it'self is full of the descriptions of hell. Famine, death, grief, pain ext.
I personally dont believe that our heavenly father whom made us would ultimately give us up to such an end. I do however believe you will at some point some way be held accountable for "your" life & what you choose to do or not do within the time you were alloted.
God created man. God is infalable. In creating man he gave man free choice knowing that man would sin & our souls would learn.
God is not responsable for all of our personal actions but he made us capable of "choosing" to do wrong or right. God is infalable therefore it is part of his ultimate plan for man to mess up at some point & learn since he made us capable of doing so.
I dont believe we will be "tortured" for this.

I hope you find what your looking for. Seek & you will find. Keep looking. To give up would be "your" choice.

God is not selfish. He has indeed given everything to us, and all he has asked for in return is that we acknowledge that fact and seek our satisfaction in him, which he promises is the very best thing for us and the only true way to find that satisfaction.

God is holy and cannot reside with unholiness. He designed us to be with him, and without him we are not experiencing all that he made us for. Our sin is a barrier between us and him. He bridged that barrier by sending Jesus to die as a sacrifice in our place for our sin. If we recognize our sin and claim forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, his sacrifice atones for our sin and through his holiness we can approach the throne of Almighty God.

If we reject that sacrifice, of our own will, we cannot in our sinful selves dwell in the presence of God. The result is that we live outside of the presence of God--but everything good and wonderful, beautiful, comforting, amazing, compelling, sweet, tender . . .it all comes from God. Apart from him we are left with all that is foul, oppressive, rank, abusive, malicious, devious . . . torture.

Yes, God could have decided not to create you. I can't answer for him as to why he chose to create you, but you are the one who decides where you will spend eternity. God cannot do anything contrary to his nature, and he is perfectly holy and cannot live with you in your sinful state, so if you choose to remain that way, then you choose to live apart from him. I don't see how that makes him selfish.

Blessings.

God loves you. Whatever the exact opposite of selfish is...that is what He is. He gave His son so that you could have eternal life.

God is our father who gave his children. We are all God's children and we need to love another as ourself. I have never seen "worship me" in the bible.
