Hitler’s involvement with the Church:
a) Hitler was baptized as Roman Catholic during infancy in Austria.
b) As Hitler approached boyhood he attended a monastery school. (On his way to school young Adolf daily observed a stone arch which was carved with the monastery’s coat of arms bearing a swastika.)
c) Hitler was a communicant and an altar boy in the Catholic Church.
d) As a young man he was confirmed as a “soldier of Christ.” His most ardent goal at the time was to become a priest. Hitler writes of his love for the church and clergy: “I had excellent opportunity to intoxicate myself with the solemn splendor of the brilliant church festivals. As was only natural, the abbot seemed to me, as the village priest had once seemed to my father, the highest and most desirable ideal.” -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)
e) Hitler was NEVER excommunicated nor condemned by his church. Matter of fact the Church felt he was JUST and “avenging for God” in attacking the Jews. Why deny it?

Hilter was not by definition clinically "insane" in fact he was a genious (TAKE THIS LIGHTLY HOW I USE THIS!) he brought germany up from their depression, and in HIS WAY he subdued the people of Germany to think and act out his own beliefs, and as a matter of desperation by the german people, they followed those who gave hope. Hitler was not a good genious as you can tell, he used his talents for evil, does it also surprise you Hitler had a bigger IQ than Bush? He however quoted god many times, was baptised in the catholic church, loved the idea of becoming a priest after he failed in painting, and yes that would make you a christian in the eyes of the church, which is what they follow anyway so whats the point in denying it

I don't think the following, the source wikipedia, is describing a typical catholic or christian person or a jew... moreover, describing as a jew by some answerers reflect the racism on 1930s and 40s of russians:
====
Childhood and heritage
Adolf Hitler as an infant.
Adolf Hitler as an infant.
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 at Braunau am Inn, Austria, a small town in Upper Austria, on the border with Germany. He was the third son and the fourth of six children of Alois Hitler (born Schicklgruber) (1837–1903), a minor customs official, and Klara Pölzl (1860–1907), his second cousin, and third wife. Because of the close kinship of the two, a papal dispensation had to be obtained before the marriage could take place. Of Alois and Klara's six children, only Adolf and his younger sister Paula reached adulthood. Alois Hitler also had a son, Alois Jr., and a daughter, Angela, by his second wife.
Alois was born illegitimate and for the first thirty-nine years of his life bore his mother's name, Schicklgruber. In 1876, Alois began using the name of his stepfather, Johann Georg Hiedler, after visiting a priest responsible for birth registries and declaring that Georg was his father (Alois gave the impression that Georg was still alive but he was long dead). The name was variously spelled Hiedler, Huetler, Huettler and Hitler and probably changed to "Hitler" by a clerk. About the origin of the name there are two theories:
1. From German Hittler and similar, "one who lives in a hut", "shepherd".
2. From Slavic Hidlar and Hidlarcek.
Later, Adolf Hitler was accused by his political enemies of not rightfully being a Hitler, but a Schicklgruber. This was also exploited in Allied propaganda during World War II when pamphlets bearing the phrase "Heil Schicklgruber" were airdropped over German cities.[citation needed] Adolf was legally born a Hitler, however, and was also closely related to Hiedler through his maternal grandmother, Johanna Hiedler.
Hitler's given name, "Adolf", comes from the Old High German for "noble wolf" ("Adel"="nobility" + "wolf").[1] Hence, not surprisingly, one of Hitler's self-given nicknames was Wolf or Herr Wolf — he began using this nickname in the early 1920s and was addressed by it only by intimates (as "Uncle Wolf" by the Wagners) up until the fall of the Third Reich.[2] By his closest family and relatives, Hitler was known simply as "Adi". The names of his various headquarters scattered throughout continental Europe (Wolfsschanze in East Prussia, Wolfsschlucht in France, Werwolf in Ukraine, etc.) seem to reflect this.
As a boy, Hitler was whipped almost daily by his father. Years later he told his secretary, "I then resolved never again to cry when my father whipped me. A few days later I had the opportunity of putting my will to the test. My mother, frightened, took refuge in the front of the door. As for me, I counted silently the blows of the stick which lashed my rear end." [3]
Hitler was not sure who his paternal grandfather was, but it was probably either Johann Georg Hiedler or his brother Johann Nepomuk Hiedler. There have been rumours that Hitler was one-quarter Jewish [1] and that his paternal grandmother, Maria Schicklgruber, had become pregnant after working as a servant in a Jewish household in Graz. During the 1920s, the implications of these rumours along with his known family history were politically explosive, especially for the proponent of a racist ideology. Opponents tried to prove that Hitler, the leader of the anti-Semitic Nazi Party, had Jewish or Czech ancestors. Although these rumours were never confirmed, for Hitler they were reason enough to conceal his origins. Soviet propaganda insisted Hitler was a Jew, though more modern research tends to diminish the probability that he had Jewish ancestors. According to Robert G. L. Waite in The Psychopathic God: Adolf Hitler, Hitler made it illegal for German women to work in Jewish households, and after the "Anschluss" (annexation) of Austria, Hitler had his father's hometown obliterated by turning it into an artillery practice area. Hitler seemed to fear that he was Jewish, and as Waite points out, this fact is more important than whether he actually was.
Because of Alois Hitler's profession, his family moved frequently, from Braunau to Passau, Lambach, Leonding, and Linz. As a young child, Hitler was reportedly a good student at the various elementary schools he attended; however, in sixth grade (1900–1), his first year of high school (Realschule) in Linz, he failed completely and had to repeat the grade. His teachers reported that he had "no desire to work." One of Hitler's classmates in the Linz Realschule was Ludwig Wittgenstein, who went on to become one of the great philosophers of the 20th century.[4]
Hitler later explained this educational slump as a kind of rebellion against his father Alois, who wanted the boy to follow him in a career as a customs official, although Adolf wanted to become a painter. This explanation is further supported by Hitler's later description of himself as a misunderstood artist. However, after Alois died on January 3, 1903, when Adolf was 13, Hitler's schoolwork did not improve. At the age of 16, Hitler left school with no qualifications.

Anyone Christian or not can be mentally ill or can sell their soul to the devil. I thought there was some Jewish blood in him somewhere, or was it his step father. I really don't know his history as well as I should. He also wanted to be an artist but did not have much talent. Maybe someone should have encouraged him and he could have become another starving artist cutting off his ear instead of what he did become.
And a word to David T. Is that really you? How can you be so unloving as to say that Roman Catholics and Lutherans are not REAL Christians? Do you mean that a REAL Christian are the hate mongers? Maybe you have your team captain mixed up. I think he is really Satan.

All speculation.A christian is someone who is one who follows the teachings of Christ. One is known as a Christian by their qualities not just because they say they are a Christian. He also read the Vedas and manipulated those teachings. The swastika was actually an auspicious sign in the Vedas that he flipped and made it evil. Paul Proclaimed He was a Christian but was not really. And the Christians are following his teachings.Constantine proclaimed Christianity yet he was a big cheater. Go to gospelofthenazirenes. for the original teachings of Christ before Constantine misconstrued everything.

a) getting wet as a child involves no faith on the part of the child. It really means nothing.
b) Who cares where he went to school? Lots of people go to parochial school, and come out with no faith at all. It doesn't mean anything either!
c) He obviously renounced his Catholic traditions for his own personal godhood. Hitler promoted racism and hatred, and elevated himself above all other moral authorities. Anybody who opposed him was killed or sent to rot in a concentration camp.
d) I don't care if he walked around with a crucifix the size of New Jersey for Lenten celebrations! Hitler was not a Christian. He was a hate-mongering monster, who tried to take over Europe and the world. His "religion" and "religious sounding" speeches were just whitewash.
Satan itself can parade around dressed as an angel of light. It's not surprising that Hitler could try and portray himself as a "good catholic boy"; that's called "politics".
Jesus said "A tree is known by it's fruit". Judging from the actions of Hitler, he was NOT a Christian.
Why try to propose otherwise? Simple.
So you can discredit the message of Christ.
You FAIL.

Hitler was a Christian you are right.
However, Hitler was a very disturbed man who had unrealistic and discriminatory goals when he was the leader of the Reich in Germany.
After failing as an artist his mind totally changed. He commited suicide remember.
I would like to see facts that show that the Church thought that Hitler was a good guy.
Otherwise, you seem like you just want to argue with someone.

His FATHER was Catholic and his mother was JEWISH. He was also deranged and thought he was building the master race, but he was NOT an example of a good christian or catholic or Jew! Neither Osama a good example of of his religion. They are just people and not religions. I feel that I should point of to be either Christian or Catholic (both being the same by the way) is to follow Christ's teachings, not to go about committing genocide. Amendment to the first. He and his FATHER were Lutherin, not Catholic and he was the cause of the deaths of almost as many Catholics as Jews.

I'd say about 1% of the people who call themselves Christians really follow Christ's example. Through history so many people have killed others for simply not being Christians, and it still happens today. Hitler just called himself one just like most people do today. Most people who claim Jesus have too much hate in their hearts to really know the message of Love.

Hitler had a lot of religous knowledge, which he used to twist the masses to his own ends... funny how a black haired, brown eyed man could tell the massive crowds that the blond haired blue eyed race is superior and they never even thought about it.... also, Hitlers father was Jewish, making him the exact thing he hated most...... funny huh? guess that means just because someone knows their religious dogma doesn't mean you should just blindly follow them, no matter how much what they have to say feeds your emotions.

None of that makes you a Christian. Just like sitting in a garage doesn't make you a car.
Christ says those who love Me will obey my commands.
Whom do "YOU" think Hitler was obeying? hmmm
