Yes it will help you loose wieght. If you excerise 30 minutes a day 3x a week you are supposed to be able to lose weight. Smoking doesn't really help you lose a lot of weight. It is more risky to smoke and your breath will stink and your teeth will be yellow. I know what you are going through but wokring out like that should have it off in no time

G'day :)
First thing you should know, is that nicotene is actually a depressant. Most smokers believe that cigarettes help calm them down, but the reality is the opposite. You need to find healthier, more effective and more permanent ways of dealing with your anxiety. Seeing a good psychologist who can teach you relaxation techniques, stress coping skills, etc, would be a good start.
Smoking is not a healthy way to try and lose weight, either. You really should try and kick that habit asap.
As for the food you're eating, I hope there's more variety in your diet than the couple of things you listed in your answer, otherwise you're going to get really bored really fast, which is one of the big reasons "diets" fail. For help with your eating (and exericise), see a dietician, who'll help you devise something safe, healthy, age-appropriate, effective, and do-able.
Any exericse you do is always beneficial. Remember that to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you ingest. By burn, I don't mean you have to exericse off like 1500 calories a day, so don't try that! A dietician will help you work out your basal metabolic rate, and when taken into consideration with the food you should eat, they'll be able to give you the best, most effective exercises to burn the right amount of calories.
I wish you luck, honey :)

If you were to weigh yourself everyday for the first week or two you would find that you are gaining weight instead of losing weight due to an increase in the size of your muscles that results from walking and/or running. Everything you plan to do sounds good to me though, especially the not eating anything but fruit after 6 p.m. If you are just starting to exercise again than I would suggest that you not exercise everyday but every other day because it is easier to make something a habit such as exercise if you work up to where you want to be. I don't know much about smoking aside from its deadly affects.

Adding a few more fruits and vegetables would help with anxiety, along with green veggies. Carrots will help you to relax, and avocado from time to time will give you magnesium. Olive oil is also good for anxiety. Almonds might help too, but don't eat too many. Some oil is fine, as long as it is good oil: olive, hazelnut, walnut, coconut (don't overdo this oil), sunflower, almond, sesame seed. Without enough oil, your brain will starve (your brain is 60% fat). 8 Glasses of water a day is standard, especially if it is a high quality mineral water like crystal geyser.

Your routine seems fine. However, you might get bored simply being on that treadmill constantly. If that happens, walk outside for extra enjoyment if possible. Change your routine to 40 min. instead of 30 in that event.

If you want to spend some extra money, try NOW liquid trace minerals, or the original himalayan crystal salt. Those will balance you out, and are amazing products.

NO need to starve yourself, as long as you get adequate excersize. Proper nutrition will help you to lose weight and will infuse the body with energy.

You are a guy right? Well 30 minutes of treadmill work should help you take off some weight. Make sure you vary the intensity and play with the inclines a bit. It doesn't sound like you really need to lose much though.
