I have 3 DSLR's and many point and shoot cameras. Only ONE of these cameras is capable of taking multiple exposures in the camera - the Nikon D200. There are very few cameras that are capable of doing this in the digital world.

If you have a D200, it is not even listedin the index. Look under the "Shooting Menu" and you will find it. (I'm only telling you this in case your camera operates in a similar manner.) In the D200 manual, it's on pages 86 and 87.

As far as changing your camera to underexpose by 2/3 EV (which is what I meant by shooting at 1/3 of the indicated EV), you'd have to have a camera that offered manual exposure setting, probably indictaed by an "M" or at least one that would show let you reduce the exposure intentionally. If you have a button with [+/-] on it, you can do it. Set the camera so that the EV is at -2.0 and this would cut the exposure to 1/3 of the metered value.
