Im looking for a computer program that I can download or buy for me to create or edit art wih something like photoshop.

a free photoshop like program available for winXP and linux is GIMP available at gimp.org

Try downloading a product from download.com
you can test it first, if you dont like it, uninstall it, if you do like it buy it. There are tons of image editing (or art, same principal). Macromedia Fireworks... Adobe Photoshop...
Those two are the most popular. Good luck. Hope you find something good. :P

Painter is one fantanstic program especially if you have a Graphire Drawing Tablet. Adobe Photoshop is classic, then you have CorelDraw, 3D StudioMax, Maya, the list can go on for days.

Adobe Photoshop will do. You can download it on www.abobe.com howver it will take a lot of time depending on your connection. You can buy it on computer shops....

Try Adobe PhotoDeluxe. I think it is great and best of all it is user friendly.
