I want to know, that without proof of anything, how YOU know God exists, if this happened or that happened, how do you know it happened? If the Bible was written by multiple people with multiple stories, how do you know it was written by many, you only know what you have been told, you have no proof. There is no proof of anything today, not even the Bibles prophecies, even Nostradamus got some of his prophecies right, but I surely wouldn't call him God, so all humans of today, tell me where your proof is, no one here has seen the REAL pages of the Bible, only pictures, no one has seen Mary, or Jesus or lived any of the stories, tell me how you are so sure of any of this being true. Faith is one thing, but knowing is another, don't give me quotes from the Bible, give me proof.

As to the person who told me to prove the opposite, I am not preaching anything upon you, so I have nothing to prove, I have beliefs, but I AM NOT telling anyone they are wrong because I feel they are.

I asked a very similar question and got the same tired answers that you seem to have gotten so far. People, wise up for your own sakes and the sake of everyone else, please, faith is not knowledge. Faith is belief against all good common sense. To those who cite "creation" as evidence you are missing the fact that the appearance of design does not indicate that something was designed. The only reason you posit a creator is because you make the fallacy of calling earth a creation.

I'm with you man, I think the same thing. If there was absolute proof of God, then everyone would be a Christian or a Satanist, no pagans or atheists or agnostics. Which pretty much means there won't be anyone on here who could tell you that.
Proof is also objective. What is proof to someone is coincidence to someone else. Ask yourself the same thing I did: What do I consider proof? I had an answer, but it did not lead me to Christianity.

There seems to be a golden thread of continuity throughout the Bible. Different voices, but the same themes, and directness. All the prophecies about Jesus were fulfilled, which is amazing. I heard once that it was a one in 60 trillion or more chnace of that happening, out of some 35 prophecies. And, when test things, (the bible tells us to test the spirit), it is just so obvious.

I look around at the world around me and see the proof everyday.

Also I looked at the Bible as a Historian, and could not discredit anything that the Bible had to say. I compared the study and writings of the Bible to that of other Historical documents.

I started my search as an Athiest looking for contradictions, anythign to discredit it. The harder I looked the more and more valid it became. I could not look at the Bible in a true, historical light and not see that:
The Biographies pass eyewitness tests that are used in any Court.
The Documents we have today are as accurate as any we have from any ancient text.
Archeology has repeatedly confirmed the story

Sorry, but it's not our job to prove anything to you and besides, the bible states that men seen Jesus perform miracles and look what they did to him. Your question has been asked by many on here and the answer is still the same. Faith, is what we have. Not all the answers and certainly not all the solid proof that you, as a non believer, seek.

Look at your watch. Someone made it. Evey thing that is working someone made. This world was made By the Supreme Person. It takes a little child like intelligence to figure that out. Then one can make more spiritual advancement from there. We can not understand God from our Frog Philosophy mentality. Story. Their was a frog in a well and some came to him and said "Have you seen the Great Ocean. He said "No, is it twice the size of my well, Person "No" Frog Is it five times the size of my well Person "No" Frog is tit 10 times the size of my well." Person "No" and so on. One can never understand God or His creation by comparing through sense perception. But we can get some Idea that someone made this world. The Vedic literature had the most knowledge Abbot God and the creation than any other Spiritual Books. (Fact) go to krishnaculture. for details read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada.

I am not a Christian because of the Bible or because of the written witness of millions of people over thousands of years. I am a Christian because I have experience the presence of God and I have witnessed a miracle. That and only that could have made a bitter Atheist like me into a believer. Maybe some day He will come looking for you too.

...Very respectfully, sir, it doesn't take a whole lot of intelligence to look at the night sky and other parts of creation (like animals and people), and note how complex they are, and then ask yourself:
...1. Did all this just happen? Is this a huge cosmic mistake, brought about by natural selection, time, chance? (To me it is like trying to imagine a working timepiece came together after shaking a shoebox full of watch parts for 30 days, and lo and behold, out comes a working watch)
...2. Did an intelligent, Creator God create all this?
...Without apology, I believe in the Almighty Creator God
...Sir, to answer some of your other questions, may I ask you one? How much personal study of the Scriptures have done for yourself, for you to come up with such a sure conclusion as you have?
...Jesus of Nazareth, a man witnessed by the Scriptures, secular historians of His day, and thousands of believers, made some incredible claims about Himself. He claims to be God and the only way to God. Who do you say that He is? Is He a liar, a lunatic, a legend, or the Lord, as He said? This is no small thing -if He is correct, then all of us had better humble ourselves before Him and believe on Him, or we are lost, forever.
...Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved..."
...The Bible tells us we must come to Him by faith, and if we don't, it is impossible to please Him.
...Whosoever will, may come. I hope and pray you will.

I will bet the most common answer is faith. There will also be the obligatory, "look at the world and the universe, what more proof do you need?"

"To see by faith, one must close the eye of reason." Benjamin Franklin

There is proof for the Bible.

There are more ancient manuscripts of the books of the Bible than for any other ancient book. Those who study ancient texts agree that, based on the evidence, today's translations of secular books like Homer's Illiad & Cesar's Gaelic Wars are true to their original ancient text although the original books are long gone. If you apply the exact same evidence tests to the Bible, it passes with flying colors.

Events recorded in the Bible are also recorded in other ancient writings. Archeaology supports the Biblical stories.

There are over 300 prophecies in the Bible that refer to the coming of Jewish Messiah. Jesus Christ fulfilled all of them. The chance that any person would fulfill just 5 of these prophecies is equal to the chance that a blindfolded person would be told that there was a silver dollar on the ground somewhere in Texas and that he would go to the exact right spot and pick it up on the first try. Nearly impossible if left up to chance!

The Bible was written by people living on 3 different continents, speaking at least 3 different languages, over the course of 1300 years, and yet, from beginning to end, it reads as one story. Try putting together 67 books written in the past 1300 years and getting them to sound like one story. It does not happen. How do we know that it was written by many people? There are great differences in style, type of writing, & the language that it was written in . Anthropologists who study ancient cultures & civilizations tell us that the people who wrote the Bible were familiar with the customs of their times. Some of them accurately describe life in ancient Babylon. Others accurately describe Roman occupied Israel in the 1st century. That means either the guy who wrote the Bible was an expert on 1300 years of culture on 3 different continents, or the Bible was written by a lot of different people who knew the customs of all these different places & times because they lived there.

The final reason that I know the Bible is true is because it changes people's lives today. People who ask the God of the Bible to lead them become better people. They are freed of their anger, greed, hatred, jealousy. They start to feel true concern for others. In England, slavery was ended because of a Christian's concern that it was wrong. In the US, a minister led the Civil rights movement with Jesus example of peace. Hospitals were established in mideval Europe by monks who took in the sick who were left to die. Humane treatment of the mentally ill was spearheaded by Christians. Soup kitchens, crisis pregnancy centers, homeless shelters, etc, are run today by Christian volunteers who believe the God of the Bible has called them to serve. Athiest & agnostics cannot match or even come close to the good works that Christians do or have done.

How do I know the Bible is true? Because the God that it describes jumped into my heart & changed my life. I hope that you meet Him, too.
