Abuser leaves?

I need alot of help with this one. Could someone help me?
My abusive boyfriend left me after he got offended when I
got mad that he hit me & called me stupid. I withdrew from
him and told him things that suggested i wanted to get away
from him,so he left me.
He's been gone now for 3 months. He hasn't called me or had
anymore contact with me since he left me.
Can I be sure he won't come back now?

also he's left many times before. He's come back every time,but this time he's been away much longer than before and
he hasn't tried to contact me so far.
Is this a good sign he won't be back?

if he doesn't come back your one of the lucky women. most women don't get out of an abusive relationship that easy, i know i watched my mother try to get out of one for over 15 years.she didn't get away from him until i was in my late 20's.and if he does try to come back i would suggest that you change the locks to your house and never give him the key again.

It's possible he won't be back but somehow I feel he will be. If he does don't take him back he'll only abuse you again unless he has or is willing to go for counseling.
