I heard it isn`t good to use grease in your hair ...?

Have you heard that, and if you don`t use grease what do you use?

Naw, grease isn't good. Try olive oil, or a little petroleum jelly. Conditions the hair and the scalp.

I heard that and I stopped using grease and used oil and my hair started falling out. now that I grease my scalp 2x's a week my hair is in much better condition. You don't have to grease your hair everyday. The scalp needs moisture especially after you wash it.

Well I dont know about other races....but I know that if Black women dont keep their hair conditioned then it will become dry and brittle and break!!!! My hair is down my back and I have been using grease since I was born.....:) there are lighter greases so that they wont weigh the hair down...but I would grease my scalp honey :)

I like using hair grease (the lighter kind, not that thick, heavy stuff). It keeps my scalp moisturized and helps promote healthy hair growth. I also use scalp oil and oil sheen. My hair is reallythick so it needs the hair grease. If you hair is thinner, you might want to opt for the scalp oil or oil sheen.

If the hair dressing contains beeswax, petroleum jelly, alcohol, then it's bad. I use a hair dressing that contains natural herbs and vitamins and minerals. African Pride, Mane 'N Tail Carrot Oil Cream, Doo Gro.

I've also heard the same thing althought I have been using it all my life. I still do sometimes but I also use Luster's pink oil moisturizing lotion. That works pretty good as well as Doo Grow oil moisturizer.

I use Doo Gro oil, and I love it. Makes my hair super soft. It's a good way to take care of your hair regardless of ethnicity.

Its true..cause it breaks down your hair..I use Oil cream moisturizers and I apply them to my scalp..the brands I use is Motions, Pink and Pantene Pro-v for African American hair..they're really good.
