When you reach your teen years your body is changing in all sorts of ways, your hair is quick to pick up on these changes, many people have hair that grows in thicker and faster than anytime. You may not have noticed that your hair strands are thicker, but you noticed the curl. If you want to wear it longer, just the weight of it will help straighten it, or enjoy your waves.

Girlfriend, it's all about hormones!! Mine did the same when I was younger. Then, when I had had my two children it got super long, full, naturally curly, but beautiful. Two years later, it is a heck of a lot thinner and harder to manage and breaks easily and is easily damaged by chemical processing (I'm 33 by the way.) Anyway, I recently found out by my doctor and hair stylist that hormones control your hair, so I had my hormones tested and when those results come back, they will be able to give me the proper hormone pills I need to regulate everything and hopefully that will help my hair too. I'd suggest you ask your hair stylist and your physician to check your hormone levels.

Puberty and genetics. All the hormones going on during puberty combined with your family genetics could have caused your hair to change texture. Most children's hair is very fine until this time, and when a child has very long hair, you might see the 'baby hair' that still hasn't been trimmed off.

Welcome to the world of life.
Everyone has hair that changes as they grow.
Some turn colors some change in texture.
And hold on it still hasn't finished yet.
Work with it and ask your hairstylist what is best.
Sometimes the way your hair is cut or grows can increase in curl or turn straight.
The only way to tell is by seeing your hair in person.
Being I can't I suggest you not to worry about it as it's a natural phase. Sometimes the weather plays a big part in it as well.
