A museum, movie or one of those places where you make your own pottery?
What a nice thought, by the way. I bet she's proud to have you as her kid. ;o)

When you go out with mom, you may get caught up with your own ideas of shopping or doing things that you may leave her out of the picture. Instead, help her out around the home in whatever little ways you can.
When I was 15, I used to make sure that my mom never felt unhappy about anything I did. You can too.
Relationships are based on love. So all you gotta do is show her you care and love her. It will definitely be fun!

Bowling, walking, hiking, camping, bicycling, rafting, swimming, tubing, kayaking, movies, theater, opera, and the list goes on.
Without knowing either of you it is difficult to try to find common ground. Just make a list of things you like and then make a list of things your mother likes. There is bound to be a couple of things that are at least close if not exact matches.
I used to help my mother decorate cakes. I would hold the yarn while she rolled it for knitting. We watched a lot of baseball together.
If all else fails, give a little and do something she likes one time and something you like the next. And don't forget to be flexible. You may find a common interest that didn't appear on either list...
And guess what, a big hug makes for a pretty good icebreaker.

Try having a standing lunch or dinner date with her. Maybe after a couple of those you can get a feel for what might be interesting for you two to do together. find out if she likes movies or skating or what she misses doing that was lots of fun when she was 15.

Go to a movie, take a walk in the park, read together, shoot pool, laser tag, minature golf, Lots to do out there you just gotta find something you both love. Oh and if you don't get to talk alot start leaving your mom nice notes where you know she will find them. That's what I did with my mom when I was a teenager and she loved it! Good Luck!

Go visit a museum, tour a mansion, take a cooking class together, go have tea at a fancy place, go see a theatrical show, take some other class together (art, pottery, sewing, tap dancing), just take a walk with her every day, go have a spa day together....it isn't so much what you do as long as you do it together -- during this time, take the opportunity to get to know your mom, her likes/dislikes, history, her childhood, her relationships in high school...worst mistakes, greatest loves, regrets...the list is endless.

Take her on a date. Call her and ask her out. Go outside the front door and ring the bell. Bring flowers. Take her to a nice dinner and just spend time talking. Tell her she can ask you anything that night and you will answer her honestly. That's all mothers want, honest conversations with their children. Time to look at them and see how beautiful they are and how much you love them. To watch and listen and learn about how they have grown, how they think, etc.
You are a good son for wanting this. Your mother already feels very special!

talk to her, find out what her interests and hobbies are...play some board games, have her teach you a hobby and you may be surprised that you may like it too. like crocheting, cross stitch,
scrap booking, yatzee game, monopoly. tv shows 2gether, or if you want to take her out. see a movie, walks, bowling, hiking, biking, go to the park, just sit on the porch enjoy the warm weather in the summer at least. another fun thing is get out the old photo albums and have some laughs. Good Luck

I think it is wonderful that you want to have a good relationship with your mom. Fifteen is a hard age for mom's to deal with. They see their child growing up and still want them to be babies. Does she like to fish? Fishing is a great thing to do together. Also, camping or going on a weekly picnic. Or maybe 1 or 2 days a month go to a movie or bowling with her.
