1) YES
2) I used to deal with it by talking and my goal was to make them aware of what they did and how it made me feel... My perspective was that they did not know..
3) Today, I give no benefit of doubt... i.e. they knew exactly what they were doing and what affect it would have on me... there is no talking about it!!!! I just drop it and move on.
- My perspective today is: If they don't know, then I don't need to experience whatever else they don't know about... AND I am not interested in being the one to teach them about right and wrong ways to treat people..

Yes of course - I was dating a guy for close to three years. He left for college in one place, and I left for college in another city (we were 20 years old - went to a jc first) - we were going to do the long distance thing. After a couple weeks he just stopped calling, and then I got a call (finally!) from a girl who said she was his boyfriend. You could say that relationship was over.
Another situation - I had broken up with my boyfriend, but we were still seeing each other (we were both 25 or 26). I went to visit him in SD, and then went to a bridal shower without him in SD (I was staying at his place and would be back there later that night). In the 5 hours I was gone, he had a girl over and slept with her in the bed I was sharing with him for the weekend. Nasty. I mean I know we weren't together, but that's just uncalled for.
I dealt with it in time. I just got over it.

After my husband and I separated a "friend" of mine came to see me and said I needed to get my girlie figure back and go back to him and everything would be fine. She hurt my feelings very badly. She didn't know the circumstances of the breakup and she just assumed it was my fault. I didn't tell her my ex was molesting boys, even his own two little ones. It's been many years now and I still think of how hurtful she was and it ruined my feelings of friendship for her.
