there is this indian kid named omesh or somethin in my bio class..and my teacher moved my seat today next to him. and im not racist at all but why do they smell so bad? its like not just him.. ive met others. im just wonderin if you guys know? do they know?

Yeah...Indians do have body odour, gives me the instant migrane attack!!....no matter what country they live in...they just smell...the men and the women too!! I don't think they know are aware how bad it can get....usually by this time they are imune to their own smell... It's just the food they eat. Usually an oil called 'Ghee', that's the stuff they put in their food. Maybe you can talk to your teacher to send him to the school nurse where they can advice him to use deodorant.....

Americans are whiners.... when I came here from Brasil, I wasn't used to the complaints about appearence. I was clean and healthy according to Brasil's standards, a third-world country, even though I was only six and didn't care then I now realise why I was sometimes made fun of and disliked because I brought my culture with me. Americans are ethnocentric, look it up. I'm not racist or anything, but you have issues.

Ive noticed that too at times....maybe just the food they are cooking. I'm white and can go into an grocery store that has a deli and come out with my clothes smelling like grease or a damn chicken!

It's all the garlic they put in their food. I don't see you as being racist or anything like that. I live in Denver and there are plenty of people from India. I have met people (from India,mainly here on h1b visas, diff. story) who do not believe in using any perfumes for personal hygiene and I have met others who are accustomed to using perfumes and such thing. For them, it is more of a cultural thing.

Well, most ppl from places other than america are used to the heat. When ppl r hot, they sweat so that's prob why he smells. I hav a kid in my class who use to live in Nicasomething and he sweats easily, so he smells.

Well, it is because of what they eat... I am not sure of what it is... but I totally understand you, don't worry you will get used to it... in like a week u won't even remeber... they don't smell bad... IT IS A FOOD...

i met some indian kid (the from india type) and he didnt smell bad, i doubt everyone of them smells bad, maybe its just him

its because of their house, they cook different foods and have strong scents, and thats just their smell that were not used to.

they smell like that because they put coconut oil into their hair to make it black and shiny. apparently it helps prevent hair loss, keeps it from going brown, and keeps it healthy.
