Am i being controlling?

Question

My girlfriend went out today without telling me...now i feel jealous and uncomfortable...should i ask her when she comes back? Am i being possessive? What should i do now? THx

It's totally normal to feel a bit anxious because you care about her. As long as you aren't angry about the situation. She just might not feel like she's at that point in your relationship where she needs to tell you where she is all the time. When you ask her about it, just mention that you were worried or something and were concerned about where she was. When I met my husband years back, I liked it that he cared about where I was. As long as you don't lay it on too thick, it shouldn't be a problem if you and her are on the same page.

Having been on the girl end of that...yes you can ask but be careful how you sound and the words you use to ask the questions. Tell her how you feel , you know why you are asking and let her know that youare worried about being this way. I'm telling you just watch the tone and the words you use. Don't come off like "where were you?" "who were you with?" "how long were you there and did you go anywhere else after?" don't use that kind of questioning.

well first of all i would like to ask you a question has she ever cheated on you ? or have you ever been cheated on in a different realationship ? if so i understand how you could feel this way its not that your being controlling only that there is no trust but if there has been no cheating in the realationship ............well .......lets just say listen to your gutt feeling it will never lie trust me i know i was in a realtionship for 7 yrs we got a 4yr old together i never ever thought he would cheat but boy was i wrong so not too long ago he came to see both me and the baby well he fell asleep and i started to go thru his cell phone well well what did i see a text message and it sounded like this person was more than a friend so i invited her over she was supposivly his girlfriend for 4 mnths well he woke up too both of us standing there .........but believe that he did come back and i dont want anything to do with him its funny how the tables turn ........now hes the one crying and litterally begging me to go back to him but nah...once a cheater always a cheater ...just listen to that gutt feeling it never lies look it took me 7 yrs to find out but i did find out and really supprised him to a good morning greeting huh?

Most likely you are being a bit controlling. She has the right to go out, you know.
When she comes back, maybe you could ask her if she had a good time. And then, DROP it!

Would you be happy if she got mad because you went out? Treat her the way you'd like to be treated.

relationships are based on trust and respect for each other . Let her do her own things too without you . you do not need to hang out all the time together .
