If you "dont wana hurt her", then don't date her in the first place since she is a nice girl. If you "dont like her near as much as she likes me", do let her know so that she will not misunderstand your dating her as something more than just friends and/or special.

Dating is not suppossed to always end in marriage. There should be no assumptions towards a lasting relationship. If you are not both on the same page, then you should sit down and talk about it. She may have different ideas than you as to where this relationship should go. Thats o.k., but, you both want to be in agreement. If "you" done or said some things to lead her to a wrong conclusion, then appoligize for that. Take care of this ASAP. The longer is goes on, the more likely for someone to get their feelings hurt. Good question. Glad to see you are concerned for her feelings.

Well if you guys are in the beginning stages of dating, then you wouldn't hurt her as much as you would by waiting until she's really into you. I would just tell her that you are not interested in dating her anymore but in the nicest way possible. No need to keep dating her if you don't like her...she'll just end up picking up the type of vibe you're giving her. Which is that you're not digging her the way she is digging you. She may be hurt but it won't hurt as much when she starts falling for you later on down the line. Good luck!!!

it's nice to see that you are taking the time to work it out,
but what it all comes down to is straight talk, and don't prolong the inedible.
But with luck and the right word you both maybe able to hold onto a wonderful friendship,
But it's not likely.
Take the plunge and tell the truth, as they say the truth will set you free,
More ways than one..... but just think Freedom the only way to fly.
commitments to any chick is always a heavy weight... just like the down South Chain Gangs, live,,,enjoy... love.. and be happy...!
Remember once you get yourself hooked, sure as hell the Ball and Chain is not far behind you.
Then it becomes less loving and more about paying bills and more bills.
How great this life is....ha ha ha

She's nice and you don't like her? I think you are NICE, to worry if you will hurt her..... Whether or not you tell her now or later, it will still hurt her....but best not wait. Don't be too direct either, she may hate you.... Just take her out to dinner and after that tell her the truth the gentle way, maybe you can tell her that you are not ready for a relationship and that you want to date other people and you're telling her because you are not a two-timming kinda guy or something....Im sure she will understand. She may be hurt but she will respect you for telling her the truth. Good luck sweetie!!

Don't be in a relationship that isn't going to make you happy. And don't sacrifice your happiness for what you think is the right thing to do in her eyes. I've been in a situation like that, and it will only grate on you until you end up resenting her, even if she is the nicest girl in the world. My advice would be to tell her that you care for her as a friend, but not as a girlfriend. I know that it is a very difficult thing to do, but not doing it will make both of you miserable. I hope that things go well for you, and that the two of you remain friends.

If you feel like you have given the relationship enough time to know that you will never feel the same way about her that she feels for you, then you need to be honest with her and move on. Who knows, loosing her might make you realize you can't live without her.
But, you should give the relationship some time before you make the call that you can never feel the same way about her. You can start out enjoying someone's company and it can grow into everlasting love. Sometimes it just takes time.

I was in the same situation but I liked the guy enough to continue seeing him. Now we're on the same page. It's pretty hard not to like someone when they like you so much. Give it some time....

it's obvious that you care for this chick; otherwise, you wouldn't be asking. If you didn't care for her, you would just use her for your sexual pleasures and leave her without a care. Seems that you should give her a chance (no physical stuff yet) and see where it leads. No chemistry, then leave her. If there is chemistry, good chances are that you will have GREAT sex with her.....
