Disowned her because of YOU ?
Are you serious?
If it's a question of nationality, or family background, then she's going to be much better off without them anyway.
Well, hopefully you two are going to make it and show them that it was their biggest mistake ever.
Also, Now and again, especially in hard time, try and remember what sacrifice your girl has made for you, and make sure you treat her really well.
You do have to love someone deeply to do that for them.
Good luck.x

One question: Are you seriously in love with her? If yes, then it shouldn't matter to her or you what her family thinks of you. Especially if they've disowned her. If you really care what her family thinks, then when you meet them, charm your way into their good books, but don't be arrogant and don't make fun of them. If they cook for you, eat it all and tell them how nice it was and don't forget to say how nice it was to meet them!! And for God's sake don't be nervous, it shows and will almost certainly be used against you, unless they like you of course, in which case you're in the clear!! Also remember that first impressions are the most important thing, during the first 5 minutes be mega polite and make sure you don't dress or talk like a slob!!
Good luck!!

Tell your girlfriend to stop worrying over something she has no control over. If her family have disowned her they obviously don't love her as deeply as they should. If you are her choice as a partner she should stand her ground - prove them wrong by having a happy good life.

sweetheart, that is their problem not yours! i had exactly the same problem with my ex and my mum and dad. chances are her parents love her very much and are too proctective over her. have they heard something bad about you? is there anything bad about you what they dont like such as drink, drugs, no job etc?? if so thats why!! even if not, the more they try and stop her seeing you the more she will! they will accept you in time when they get to know you. i know it sounds corny but you could write them a letter explaining how much you care for their daughter and want to make her happy. leave the ball in their court then. its a heartbreaking situation your girl must be in, her boyfriend and parents clashing. this has happend to me and now even though me and make ex broke up 2 years ago, him and my parents are still in touch!!good luck xx

If they disowned her before you came along do not worry. Should you ever have/need to meet her astranged family, just be yourself... cordial etc. They have to accept your girlfriend again before they can even begin to worry about you.

i would say don,t do nothing you might make things worse by interfering, and they will not accept you at all just be there for her and tell her that and show her lots of love i know it is hard and you will feel her pain to but with any luck you two will win in the end and they will come around.

If they've actually disowned her, you won't ever have to meet them, so don't worry about it. Who cares what they think? They've chosen not to be her family anymore, so they're not.

If they have disowned her, then what does it matter if they except you or not? They are not in the pic.
