They can because of noise ordinance laws, but usually they only do if you're being stupid with it like:
Parked in a residential neighborhood at night blasting your music
Stopped at a red light next to a cop blasting your music
Parked in a crowded parking lot with your windows down or doors open blasting your music.
Generally, cops understand that people have systems and don't feel like dealing with ticketing for the small stuff unless you're being a j@ck@$$ with it. I've had competition systems for years now and have never received a ticket (knock on wood)
And for all the people out there that don't like people with systems in their cars, GET OVER IT!!

it easily relies upon on the place you reside and of direction the cop, like the rest some law enforcement officers do not safeguard loud music yet some desire to be pricks and pull human beings over for something, i do play my music sort of loud yet in easy terms to pass over the sound of rap from human beings so i will easily hear mine and additionally I easily have a inventory equipment and CD participant, i've got performed mine loud surprising via law enforcement officers and that they don't even care a minimum of those here do not

They can and they do at times. I guess it all comes down to how loud or annoying the noise is. ANY noise, sound, music can only be so loud. After it goes over the limit you are subject to a ticket. They do have decimal meters and if they are using them....well you might get the ticket.

Yeah... and they can bug you about it at car washes too... I got busted for playing Aerosmith from my speakers while washing my car and it wasn't even loud enough to hear over the vacuum. Ironically later that week I got busted at the movie theater for the SAME thing only that time it was Josh Groban! haha

It can be considered "disturbing the peace." If you're going to blare you're music, don't do it in residential neighborhoods. You can get a ticket, I had a few friends that got tickets.

They can. Either under noise pollution laws where they exist or as a disturbance of the peace almost anywhere.

They can, but usually don't. However, I try not to ever give them a reason to pull me over and check everything else.
