He talks about me all the time. He calls me at least once a day. When we are together he always has his arm around me. When we are cuddling or whatever, he keeps kissing my cheek and neck and saying "sorry I can't help it". He tells me I'm beautiful and he really likes me etc etc. He likes me so much it's freaking me out. Is he clingy or just really into me?
I don't like him that much, how can I get rid of him without hurting his feelings (he's such a sweet guy)?

He is not my boyfriend and I told him a while ago I did not want to go out with him because we lived so far away. Therefore he thinks everything is fine when that was actually my excuse.

OK, here's an example of what you should NOT do:
"Stop returning his calls and texts. Become busy all the time. He'll get the hint and move on."
With a guy like this one, he will NOT get the hint for about two weeks to a month, maybe even more if he's particularly inexperienced. All the while, he's going to be hurting. Seriously, don't do this. Just break up with him and get it over with if you want to break up with him.
Hmmm . . . so he's not your boyfriend . . . then here's how you should get rid of him. You have two main options:
1) Tell him you aren't interested in dating him.
2) Tell him you have a boyfriend (which may work, considering the distance).
You can use them both together, if you need to. But the boyfriend option is not as permanent as the honest option. If you tell him that you have a boyfriend, he may WAIT for you to break up with your boyfriend. If there's any way for him to find out that you don't really have a boyfriend, then it isn't a good idea. But those are the best ways I can think of to do it without hurting him too badly. As before, don't tell him that you want to be his FRIEND. He may think that he's going to win you over or something. It's OK to be friends with him, but he probably won't give up on you for a while. You can teach him about women though, which is obviously something he needs. Good luck!

If he only calls you once a day then he is definitely not clingy! He just really likes you. He sounds very sweet and really into you. Just tell him you don't want to be in a relationship right now...but if you were smart, you would keep the guy you're with! Guys like that are few and far in between...

He does indeed sound clingy. Maybe just tell him up front, that you don't enjoyed all his touching, especially not in public if you're embarrassed about it. Is he like this with all his girlfriends though? Maybe its just a trait he's had...If not, then you should definitely let him know. If he's not willing to change for you, (assuming your demand is reasonable) then break the news to him, especially if you're not happy in the relationship.
I admit, when I used to date my ex, I was quite frustrated at the fact that he was too embarrassed to even hold hands, never mind hugging me, in public O_o. I sometimes wished he'd be a bit more "touchy-feely", if you know what I mean, but appropriately of course, in appropriate places.
Ah well, guess we can't have everything we want, can we?

He is way too clingy! As for getting rid of him just be honest with him about your feelings toward him. In a nice way of course.

Hes definitely into you. You seem young and not ready for something serious...or at least not with him. Just let him know its not working out for you. You will want that more than anything the older you get! Good luck girl! ;>

Does it make a difference which one it is? Either way, you're not feelin it right?
So this is what I propose.....
Either you can tell him straight out (which will probably hurt him)....OR....you can play with fire and do something drastic! Like becoming SO clingy on him that HE breaks it off with you or gets freaked out himself! Use your imagination!

Is he your boyfriend or not? He's not clingy unless it's calling you every hour and asking where you're at. At least that's what I think. But if you don't like him that much, then just say you're not into him, but not harshly.

He's clingy. Some guy (and girls) are like that. Sometimes it means they are insecure. But if you are not into it, just tell him nicely. Stop returning his calls and texts. Become busy all the time. He'll get the hint and move on. If he pulls that if you leave me I'll kill myself stuff. Call suicide hotline immediately and hand him the phone.

If he's too clingy for you, that's all you need.
It's going to hurt his feelings, but that's part of life. Gently tell him that you want to break it off. If he asks why and sounds serious about knowing, tell him.
