Insurgents would continue to kill innocents, and terrorists would have a breeding ground, and it would definitely be more likely that they would attack us again.

If we left Iraq, a much needed civil war would take place. Civil war is always good for a country that is being reshaped, but not this time. The war would be funded by to many self interested outside investors. Iraq would have the potential to becoming the training and breeding ground for the most hardened, none wavering killers in the world. With such a force, being developed it would be impossible for it to be contained in Iraq’s borders. The overflow would affect all developed country around the world.

The Iraqi National (Shia) Govt with help of the Shia militias will wipe the Sunni insurgents & Sunni Al Qaeda terrorists off the face of Iraq. Win the war in Iraq. Win the war on terror in Iraq. Make Bush look like a fool.

There will be a bloody civil war. But there's going to be one whether we're they're or not, so in order to prevent any more lives being lost for an idioti war, get them out of there. It's the same outcome whether we leave or stay, so get American troops out of there now. Not to mention, terrorism has been going up since we entered the war with Iraq, that should tell you something. Only a fool would continue the war.

Well...to speculate....
1.- It would cause a serious morale problem in the US military. The loss in confidence in our elected leaders could present a serious problem with recruitment and retention.
2.- Iraq would almost surely partition between Shia, Sunni and the Kurds. This would ensure that the civil war the media has been talking about would occur. It would be bloody making the current events in Iraq appear tame.
3.- Saudi Arabia is unlikely to sit by and watch the majority Shia murder thousands of minority Sunni in revenge. So look for them to hire an army to protect Sunnis in Iraq and to take drastic measures to influence Iran.
4.- Expect a major incident by Iran and Syria against Israel and shocking response from Israel. They will do almost anything to prevent another holocaust. Iran's population lives in about 9 cities. Israel has enoughns nuclear weapons to significantly injure Iran and Syria.
5.- This would encourage another attack on the US, probably against our economy with significant loss of life and damage to property and infrastructure.

if they were to disengage they would make sure that chaos would run rampant for years to come. It would be a tactic to prove the critics wrong as well for various companies to profit from that chaos. it sounds rather bizarre but one must understand that governments are not moral and they are deeply entrenched with companies, even though one would like to believe that it's own government is an angel and is doing what's best for a particular country. the problem also lies in the information that is released in the world, namely multinational companies who own and operate the media, it is manipulated to show exactly what they want, not necessarily the truth even though they tout that they report the "facts".
So basically it's going to be bad regardless if the US stays or leaves. thank you stars you do not live in such a region of the world.

A lot of Republicans would be going to jail. Our court dockets would be full of hearings concerning illegal activities in violation of the constitution. Our soldiers would be in shambles due to the lack of jobs, underfunded VA, mental health issues, and the debt they incurred fighting for twice as long as they expected. Gas would probably cost 10$ a gallon because the Saudi's would be trying to punish us for not getting our hands on Iraq's oil, having to engage itself in Iraq to fend off Iran when we were doing such a fine job mainitaining the chaos and keeping Iraqi oil interests from the foreign companies that had pre-invasion contracts signed with Saddam that would have actually dropped oil prices worldwide.
Alas there is hope---Impeachment preceedings will have take place, Democratic social issues like tax cuts, corporate welfare, national health care, minimum wage, immigration enforcement and 9/11 commission recommendations, will be getting done.
The near future is looking kinda grimm. As there is no way to steal the honey from the beehive without getting stung---he is gonna call for more troops to step up and get killed while he still can. Forget the Iraq Study Group recommendations--he turned a comprehensive, semi-biased "best bet' into toilet paper within in two weeks.
What a quagmire!!

Honestly ... there would (possibly) be no more US citizen's lives lost! Or, there might be many more!
Iraq would be lost to the criminals we seek to stop! All of our (everyone's) efforts would be in vain!
For nearly every reason one can imagine, we cannot abandon the people of Iraq now, or ever.
While I may not agree with the reason we are there, we are there nontheless! We cannot leave until it is over and Iraq is free!
I do not believe in war or the taking of anothers life! But I will support our troops in every way!
To leave now would only doom many other cultures and peoples to the same type of terrorism!

If the military pulled out of Iraq today. Before our tracks are cold, Iran will over run Iraq engulfing it making one huge IRAN.
The only thing that has stopped Iran from over running Iraq for years was, Saddam.
Iran knew they couldn't beat him. Now that he is gone as soon as the U.S. pulls out Iran will smother Iraq taking the whole country is less than two days.
Remember the largest Muslim sect is the same as the IRANIANS.

Then the US would recieve no Iraqi oil ever again. Granted it would not be a nice place to live, but it is the worst place to be in the world at the moment!! If the US leaves, then one of the major problems causing the fighting is taken away, therefore there is less reason to fight!!

There would be a short civil war, and things would probably turn out the same way they were before the invasion. But things would get better evetualy, while the occupation is still going on it can never end.
