I went to the court house to get it resolved. Found out the date of the assult, and although I can not get anymore details until I am in court, I have a sneaking suspicion due to the date that it was a crazy landlord I had a few years ago. I had to call the police on her several times for coming into my residence without my permission, I beleive she did this as a retalitaion...among other things like calling animal control and saying that I abused my dog!! I love my dog and when animal control came they say know abuse only how much I love my dog. The court house said there was no arest with the assult, how can I have this on my record and not of talked to any law inforcment regarding it? What can I do? I can not afford an attorney

File a law suit and figure out the people who prosecuted you and sent tne report. Then force a court pay on them if they were lying. After you could press charges for the wrongdoings of the police.

Some agencies enter the information on your record as a charge. This is done whether or not the police have had actual contact with you. They cannot list it as a conviction without you having been tried in a court.

First, I would go to the law enforcement agency and request copies of the police reports for that date. Second, I would go to the clerk of court records division and search for reports.

It is also possible that the charge belongs on someone else's record. It's a simple typo or case of not paying attention to date of birth, full name, and address.
