Running executables does. You're safe if you only use mp3s.

My experience is that if you're downloading video you'll very quickly have problems with virus and trojans. Music alone is fairly safe. My peeps are high on a site called "Torent" or something to that effect.If using any peer to peer sites you're risking it. It is important to run "Spybot S-D" and similar free ant spy and virus cleaners after dnloading a few days worth of stuff. Every time I dnload several hours of any p to p stuff there is almost always something found that has to be cleaned. Videos are especially bad.And the more x rated the more problems you will have...

The program itself doesn't, but if you download something unusual in size, or something you know doesn't exist like warcraft 4, you will. I wouldn't suggest downloading games off there, I prefer torrent programs like bittorret for some of your bigger files. Always remember to check the feedback on files too, there will be people who leave warnings on what the files did to their computers.

Obviously they (the site)can't do that otherwise they would be shut down, however who you are getting stuff from may, so you should have antivirus/antispyware in your computer when dealing with p2p sites. They are potential, but so are emails

I have use limewire for over a year and love it, I have never had a problem with any virus while having it installed on my computer

According to my experience I have not encountered any virus. I download movies and mp3s. It s not advisable to download software and executable file

of couse. There is no guranttee that you wont receive any infected file using limewire. Always scan your downloaded files before useing it. Thankx

Yes it will give you so many viruses When I installed it in my PC when I open my pc it always download blah blah blah stuffs

never had viruses, although it is possible,definitely some spyware though...just scan and clean often..keep your realtime virus scanner running and it won't allow the virus's through...
