I think that you should find another photographer; his work doesn't look like he knows much about photography. I'm not sure what his deal is with the slant-wise pictures, but they look pretty awful. He doesn't seem to know much about his camera, or his field of view; he clearly doesn't know anything about the composition of a picture. I suggest finding SOMEBODY else if you're looking for a wedding photographer.

The pictures are fine. I would be concerned if you are looking for more candid shots. I scanned 600 of them and very few were candid. Many of them seem posed to me. Ask him how many weddings he's done and if you can see photos from a few of those.
Yes, out of 1000 pictures, you're going to see some duds. My photographer kept count of my "duds" (screw ups due to my funny faces). When I got to 5 she said I hit my limit. This was all done in jest, but I'm telling you about it so you know it's to be expected.
You should also consider how you get along with the photographer. If you don't feel like you "click" keep looking! Remember, you're going to spend all day with this guy, and he'll be pretty visible at your wedding.
Finally, think about the cost vs. what you get. How much access do you have to the pictures? Are they digital or medium? Do you get to keep the negatives if there are any? How much are reprints? How much is an album?
Good luck! :)

I would have expected similar type pictures from your guests, but a good photographer ought to be able to tell the story of your wedding day in photgraphs, not just snap pictures.
His work seems weak both technically (a lot of color distortion, poor framing, uninteresting compositions, and poor lighting) and artistically (they don't say anything about the wedding. They didn't really capture the mood or those special moments.)
That being said...it was weak, but not awful. If he is cheap, he will at least capture the moments that other's might miss. Then you can spend your money on buying disposble cameras for your guests. There you might get your great shots (that's where my favorite wedding pictures came from).

It seems the photographer took the time to get a lot of fantastic shots...I wouldn't worry too much about the lighting in some. I saw a few that seemed a little off, but you have 999 other shots to choose from so it isn't that big of a deal. The lighting is going to be off on some, just because of a shift in sunlight or the flash going off when it shouldn't...
It looks like he was very thourough in the shots he took and I think the album is fantastic.

He's certainly thorough in his coverage of the event. But the weird angles just didn't play well to me. He also suffers from a common malady of wedding photography, in that there is a wide range of contrast, and exposure values to be covered. From the white of the brides dress, to the black of the grooms tux, and everything in between. It's difficult at best to expose for all of it. Most of his pix seemed washed out, especially those of the brides dress. I also didn't see anything that showed any real creativity or art in his photography. Cover the event he did, but do it creatively and show some skill in his art... no I really didn't see that. Depending on your budget, and his prices, you probably can do better.

no offense he does seem a little amatuer. I was told that the one thing not to scrimp on is the photographer as those are lasting memories. If you want to see some amazing pics go to this website www.frozenreflections.com that is my photographer. She is amazing, but expensive, I am paying 4100 for all of my stuff (that includes my book) but her pics are candid and artistic. good luck.

that's not a photographer. THIS is a photographer.
don't waste your money on someone who doesn't show you ONLY their best work (even the worst shouldn't be THIS bad). how embarrassing that must be for him! it doesn't look like he knows what he's doing, sorry to say. i don't see any knowledge of the camera, lighting, composition - yikes. pay for someone who knows what they're doing and you'll be much happier down the road. this day only happens once (sadly, only for 40% of the u.s. population), so make sure you do it right!
keep looking girl!

Unless he's cheap and he's all you can afford find a different photographer. Lighting is terrible and a highschooler with a photog class could do better on composition.
