I'm assuming you live in a colder climate where you use heat at this time of year. It's because the house is so dry. You could try adding a humidifer to your bedroom.

You could have a stuffy nose for several reasons. If your bedroom is dry, your sinuses can also get dry, and that can make for a stuffy feeling for some people. It's also possible that you're mildly allergic to something in your home - winter is a time when allergies to molds in particular become noticable, since they are easily spread by central heating systems. If you've recently changed something like detergent, fabric softner, or another product that you use in your household, it's possible that you're having a mild reaction to that. Staying well-hydrated is one of the best means for thinning mucus; also, be sure that your room is not too warm, as excessive warmth can make the linings of your nose and sinuses swell a bit.

Your nose is stuffy because of dry conditions in the area that you are sleeping. Ways to prevent this are: make sure the room that you are sleeping in is cool. Try using a cool air humidifier.

Its probably cold outside where you are at, and you have your heater on. That makes it really dry inside your house. Dry air equals stuffy nose

You are probably breathing with your mouth and not using your nose, and in return, your nose gets stuffy.

Dry heat can cause that.

Either get a humidifier or sleep with several pans of water in your room.

I turn my vents off in my bedroom....I sleep so much better and wake up refreshed.

the room you sleep in is too dry, dusty or you have the heat on too high and its drying the air..try a humidifier...not a dehumidifier like suggested above because that would take moisture out and you want some in the room
