what have the traditional religions done or not done in order to open the way for all these new religion to spring up? What are the older religions lacking?

What "new" religions? I hope you don't mean Pagan faiths like Wicca, whose roots predate the JCI faiths by thousands of years.

there are tons of different religions, and there is no proof that ANY of them are right or wrong, not to mention a lot of religions are literally based off of rewriting the Bible in their understandings of what the passages meant, maybe people just chose to go towards things that make more sense.

I think that they are so afraid of saying that they have been wrong on issues... Most churches forget that they are only men and that they are going to be wrong from time to time. So if they confess to follow Jesus and serve God then they should have no problem with saying they are wrong on some teachings. and make changes..
