Definitely NOT! I have a friend that age who just went back to college, and he is planning on another four years of school to become a Physician's Assistant. Go for it, mom!

Not at all. As long as her brain is still alive and she is healthy enough then she should go back.

You are lucky to have a mom who does not want to just vegetate.

When I was in High School, a lady who had 5 children and a 9th grade education went back to high school (two of her sons were in high school while she was there) and she worked hard to graduate as the school valedictorian. I carried the newspaper clipping in my wallet for over 40 years until even the plastic protectors wore out. She was an inspiration. She passed away just a few years ago at around 90 years of age. I was told she was still taking college courses and self improvement courses. What a lady was Mrs. Lena Bumgarner of Happy Valley, Caldwell County, North Carolina!

I think if your mom is attempting to better her life and yours by getting an education and finding a career to pursue that makes her happy and potentially earns her more money then she should go for it! You should support your mom for being so proactive. It's never too late to make positive changes in your life!

Absolutely not!!! Ask your Mom how many years will it take to earn her degree. Then ask her how old she'll be when she earns her degree. Then ask her how old she'll be in the same number of years if she doesn't earn her degree.

Get her to file a FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) www.fafsa.ed.gov and start filling out college applications.

Good for your mom! And good for you too! Good luck!!!

Of course not. I strongly encourage you to fulfill your dream, what you have always desired to do. In fact, you will have more time concentratring in studying, since the kids are now grown. You will probably excell in school. Don't let your age prevent you from accomplishing your heart's desire.

Good luck and Blessings,

Lou

Of course not! Anyone can go back to college. And should, if they have the desire to be better educated and knowledgable.
