Im a big fan of Gold/Black jointed Rapala's.
Also a Black Rubber worm works well.

Water/Weather conditions plus how the bass feel that day all play a big part. There is no such thing as a perfect lure for fishing. If there was, there would be any other lures out there.

Yamamoto Senkos are the best bass bait ever invented! They are the simplest to use and the most effective hands down. If you look at the rods of every pro bass fisherman out there you are going to find at least 1 rod rigged with a senko no matter what time of year it is. I prefer the 6" watermellon seed or the green pumpkin colors. For more advice you may want to go to

We have used BOMBER MODEL "A" 's forever!!! Chartreuse and silver are the best!!! Good Luck!!!!

Lures are not just for top water if you look on the back of the package it will tell you how deep the lure will dive!!! We also use pet spoons and deep diving lures together they dive right at about 16-25 feet! Try it! They work here in the South!!Good Luck!!

That depends on a lot of things--weather, habitat, available prey, individual fish or fish populations, water depth and temperature, how you fish, etc. Too many to come up with an answer, other than, "Whatever they're taking." So much has been and is being written about bass fishing, you shouldn't have trouble finding hundreds of answers.

largemouth bass are known for their aggressive strike and battle when hooked. they would strike anything from underwater insects, other fish, frogs, snakes, and sometimes even ducklings; this means any lures that come to its terrority. thee best lure that had catch me tons of large/smallmouth bass is a "spinnerbait." i fish from the shoreline, never have i fish in a boat. i would throw the spinnerbait to my right which is 1 feet off the shoreline and catch 1-2 pounder. 2nd best lure for me would be a weedless worm. i used this when it gets too hot, when it get hot, the bass would go deep to get warm. hope this help.

A lot of good answers so far. It really depends on what time of year and water conditions. Personally, I like to fish for bluegills till dark, then I use big minnows and a lighted bobber for big bass. Have fun!

The best lures are usually topwater, I'd use a buzzbait, a jitterbug or a popper. Spinnerbaits work well too. Although the best bait of all time is the banjo minnow!!!

Depend on a lot of variables, cold water-use a plastic worm or salamander. Warm water- Spinner bait in white/red or Chartreuse/red. use a top water in the morning or just before dark. Good luck.
