A mortar lobs a shell in a high arc, notice movies of a mortar show the tube is at a high angle, the warhead is high explosive fragmentation. The mortar tube has one end placed on the ground. The high angle of trajectory allows the round to land behind defensive objects the enemy maybe using as cover rather than impact on the front of a defensive object . (like a wall, hill ect)
An RPG (rocket propelled grenade) is shoulder fired and launched at a shallower angle. It has a shaped charge warhead (notice the conical shape of the round) . (Similar to a Panzer Faust )
either one detonating near you will ruin your day

An RPG is propelled by fuel which is part of the shell and leaves the tube still burning this fuel.
A morter has separate powder charges that stay in the tube and burn up there.
So, a mortar is going as fast as it will ever go as it leaves the mouth of the tube, while an RPG is still accelerating at it comes out.

An RPG is directed at a point and is designed for a single use. A mortar tube is used launch shells multiple times. The mortar however is directed at an area because its shells are launched at a high arc.

@person who said bisexuals just think people are hot and pans need romantic feelings first. Just because you are pan doesn't mean you need to feel romantic feelings towards someone before you can be sexually attracted to them. That's demisexuality. The difference between bisexuality and pansexuality is that bisexual people are attracted to more than one gender. This may be women and people who identify as feminine or this may be men and women. It depends on the person. Pansexual people are attracted to all genders, whether they fall on the gender binary or not. This opens it up to men, women, agender, transwomen, transmen, nonbinary, and everything in between. This does not mean that bisexual people cannot be attracted to these genders as well, they just tend to have preferences. Bi is meaning they have preferences. Pan means they are attracted to ALL genders. Also, romantic feelings are different than sexual feelings. People can be panromantic but heterosexual and etc.
