My mom is 56 yrs old she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. She had a masectomy done. At first she was unwilling to consider breast reconstruction but now after going through radition and chemotherapy she has been cancer free since April 2006 and now needs help to reconstruct her breast, she has no private medical insurance, she was lucky to find a program that assisted her with her medical needs but they do not offer help for reconstruction.. if you have any info that will lead me in the right direction to help her, I would apperciate it tremendously and I know she would too.

See if she will qualify for county medical aid or research private foundations for some free money. Perhaps a website asking for donations may help too. If you belong to a church, talk to the pastor and see if the congregation will be of help.Call the cancer groups and see what is available, there is tons of money out there, you just need to know where to ask and how to apply for it. Do research on the computer and make some phone calls, check out the front of the phone book for local organizations. She may qualify for assistance even if she owns her house Good Luck, Sandy

You might have a chatwith the doctor who did thesurgery. He/she should know if there are any in your state. Tell your mom I said Good luck! I have a friend who has terminal breast cancer. I'm glad they caught your mom in time.
