by sleeping longer all you are doing is extended the amount of time that the body is in a semi-fasted state. will you lose "weight" maybe but most of it will be muscle.

the human body is not so easily tricked, it has many self defense mechanisms and a lot of them are based on the nutritional intake...

No, this is a myth. The best way to maintain a healthy metabolism is to sleep 7 or 8 hours per day.

Less than that and your body runs on slow motion due to fatigue, and you burn fewer calories.

However, sleeping more than that means that for more hours of the day, your body is lying motionless with a low heart rate, meaning that you are burning fewer calories than you would be if you were awake doing normal activity.

If by sleep late you mean sleep 8 hours but start relatively late (like 11pm) you might be right.

If by sleep late you mean sleep less, you are wrong. It doesn't work. Sleeping more doesn't work as well.
