Of course.
Only pigs leave their trash behind in the cafeteria or food court.
It's not like a restaurant where the table is cleaned before the next guests arrive and sit down and there are no bins.
Whilst there are cleaners in cafeteria and food courts, they may not get to the particular table you left before another person(s) may want to sit down. Particulary if it is a busy food court with hundreds of tables. So you can end up leaving your trash behind for the next people to sit down.
Plus, as there are bins, it makes sense to use them.

I feel it is not only proper to bus your own table, but courteous to the next person who wishes to sit there.
I was once at a fast food restaurant and watched two cops get up from their table after they were done eating, and not even take their trays with them to throw their trash out. And they were not in a hurry either to answer a call. They were just strolling out to their car. I was really surprised coming from them who always complain about our society today. They were just..."pigs!"
I myself always bus my own table, unless there is a waitress. It makes me feel good to do something nice for someone else. I don't think any worker should have to clean up after anyone! It's called good home training. I am proud I was raised that way. Thanks for the question.

Of course, if there are trash bins avaliable, I will bus my table. If there are not, I would ask someone who works there, what the procedure is and follow that.
At the new swakey mall near my work, they have staff to bus your table in the food court..they have clear frosted tables, with black chairs and real live plants at all the tables. They have great food shops.

Yes. That's why the big trash cans are there. And the place right next to it for you to put the trays. If you don't it's rude and inconsiderate, and you've obviously never worked in food service.

Yes I do. Your mom isn't there to follow you around and clean up your mess. (Although my mom never did that anyways). I also pre-bus my table at a restaurant, by stacking plates and putting napkins and straw wrappers on the plates. If I left my table (regardless of where it is) a mess, I would personally be embarrassed.

definitily do! I work at a pizza place, and people leave garbage all over the tables, even though we have about a million signs that say "please place garbage in the trash cans provided"
it's so rude! picking up peoples chewed up food and used napkins is not my job!
thanks for asking though, wow not many people have that kind of etiquette-initiative!

Yes. I am a mom and it comes like knee-jerk response. I also think it is rude to leave my piggy-mess for the under-paid workers to pick up.

Yes, because it is expected for you to do so--that's the reason those containers are provided. It's rude to assume the already-busy staff won't mind clearing away my leftovers.

Yes of course. Why? It's just common courtesy not to leave your trash behind for someone else to clean up.

Yes, because you don't leave a tip for anyone to bus your table!
