I want to get around my XP validation wizard that starts when I first install XP. when I install windows xp on a computer using an XP cd that was already preinstalled on an Hp computer. the validaiton wizard will only let me use XP for thrity days before I fails.

That's Bill Gates way of makin' sure you paid for your software... You can find a hack/usually with a virus attached to it...LOL. but you WILL need to validate your INSTALLATION of windows AND/OR call the 800 number and verify why it won't activate.

Call HP. They will get you a new OEM key to use for re installation.

go to run type in regedit and fine the key and delete it
if you do not know how to do this get a friend to help
