I know this sounds too simplistic but it works for me.

I find a quiet spot....relax my body and do some deep breathing.

I do this for at least 10 minutes and the stress isn't gone but I'm able to deal with it so much better.

Stress, we all go through with it. Try some of these tips- 1. Take it slow. Take it a day at a time. Use an agenda and write down what you're going to do at what hour and stick to it. (Keeping a daily schedule helps you from feeling overwhelmed) 2. Eat well. You know the saying you are what you eat? It is proven that if you eat fruits and vegetables, even in moderation, every day, you'll mentally feel better. Stay away from fatty foods/junk food. It might make you feel better to eat "comfort" food, but in the long run, it'll make you feel like crap. 3. Exercise. I personally hate exercising, but a nice little jog and a hot shower after is a great way to relax. 4. Listen to mellow music. Loud music will make your heart rate go faster and increase your blood pressure. 5. Keep a blog/journal. Write down all your feelings and such at the end of the day to clear your mind before bed. 6. Think positive. Remember. You're 14 years old and the second you leave your parents' home and rules, things are gonna look up. Only a few more years til college right? 7. Think: "it can always be worse." Or rather, think "I can deal with this. At least it's not as bad as ________________" Mind over matter. Good luck. :]

Is there a YMCA in your area. If so swimming is a good stress release.
