I completely agree. Its absolutely ridiculous to believe in a God who doesnt show himself in this day in age. Shouldnt he know that people like us need to see evidence in order to believe in him?

God sent a miracle,Jesus Christ. Many who saw him rejected him they even put him on the cross.Jesus told doubting Thomas that had to touch his side, before he would believe that Jesus was there with them ,after he had risen from the grave.Jesus said blessed are those who haven`t seen and believe. We walk by faith.I do know what your saying though because I once was very down and needed just some kind of sign that God was with me.The sign was something I couldn`t miss, but it would have been a very small thing for others. But I know with out a doubt that God showed me he was right there. We`re not suppose to tempt God by asking for signs but as we are human and we sometimes just need help,he won`t let us down.

1Corinthians chapter 13 explains that love is more important than miracles and that the miraculous gifts of the spirit were due to end. In fact, those miraculous gifts were only a dim reflection and a childish understanding of God and his will. What we are left with is faith, hope and love, with the greatest of these being love. Our love for God impels us to make a search for him (Isaiah 55:6) We get to know him and love him through a study of the Bible. We draw close to him. He draws close to us. (James 4:8) We worship him happily and do not need miracles to know he is real

You are obviously not Catholic. If you studied the lives of the saints and the miracles that they witnessed by being given the graces to live a life of sanctity, you would clearly see His existence in these people's lives.
The link below shares several saints and a portion of their stories.
If you were Catholic, you would witness the miracle of the Eucharist at every Mass. Unfortunately, many modern Catholics don't know that either.

I have had a few miracles personally but those are not the things that have drawn me to the realization of His existence. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is not a flash in the pan. It is a growing, nurtured and cherished relationship with a living breathing and sustaining God. Your existence is a miracle designed by God and He longs to be in tune with you.

The unsaved often want a "sign" from God. This is in spite of the testimony of creation, their conscience, the Bible, and the Christian. The cross is the only thing that can truly convince a sinner of the reality of who Jesus is. Once they understand that the holes in His hands and His feet are there because of their own sin, they will fall at His feet and cry, "My Lord and my God!"

Where would faith be if it was based on something you held in your hand. Cf. the follow=up to the feeding of the 5k and also of Thomas putting his hand in Jesus hand.
If you are thus tortured, you may want to try a Bible reading program - let me know, I am thinking of putting one on here. The Bible says faith comes from hearing/reading the Word of God.

people are never satisfied.god gave israel manna and they complain ;god rescued them by parting the red sea and they complain;god has countless times delivered their enemies into their hands and they complain.lets not forget about the miracles of jesus :raising the dead ,making the blind see making the lame walk and of course walking on water and yet these people did not believe.so what is so different about you .god left his word for us .that should be more than enough .because the miracles did not work.

I hear you...maybe try reading a book called "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey which provides scientific, historical, geographical and archaeological evidence to support Him and see how you feel after that...it helped me. Peace :-)

Superman must also know that I torture myself daily trying to find some proof of his existence. Why won't he show himself to me? I only have the sacred writings from DC comics, I study these every waking hour and still he will not come forth. Perhaps I am not worthy?
