Looking for a Religion that will not teach children that being gay is horrible and will send you to hell?

Can anyone tell me of a Religion that will not teach children that being gay is the worst thing known to man and that the gay people will burn in hell? I was raised Catholic and have 3 small children and would love to start taking them to church...Problem my sister is gay and I don't want my children to think that she is a horrible person for being this way...I could use the names of Religions where being gay is not so frowned upon Thanks

Universal Unitarianism, United Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, some Quaker congregations, some Episcopalian/Anglican congregations, or Buddhism.

The first three are among the more tolerant. Episcopalians are more similar to Catholics though and may feel more familiar.

Also, like some others have said, most Catholic Churches, congregations, and clergy are accepting of homosexuality and won't unusually preach on it, and even more rarely in a hateful way. If you've been to Catholic Churches that do, just try another one if you want to remain in the Church, even though its true that it is still considered a sin in the official canon...but then again, so is birth control.

If you are already a Catholic, you already have the religion that will not condemn you to hell for being gay.
Catholics are very forgiving of that.
Actually they have to be because a large percentage of their priests are in the closet themselves.
They will tell you that it is a sin of course but they will also tell you that there is no possible way that you can ever go to hell if you are baptized a Catholic unless you are excommunicated from the church.
And the only way that anyone would even be considered for excommunication is to do something like convert to Islam.
If your sister has already been baptized a Catholic like you and has not been excommunicated from the church then there is no possible way that she can ever go to hell. :)

You can still raise your children as Catholic if you choose, you don't mention their age but if they are very young its a non issue at this point but you can always just tell them that sometimes GOOD people make choices in life that are contrary to what the Bible teaches, we must still treat them kindly and respect them and more importantly pray for them. The bottom line is every religion under the christian umbrella shares the same gay is a sin belief. Sounds like you are willing to branch out to a different religion for your sisters sake that is more accepting.

Research different religions and see what you like best. Everyone can tell you what religion to be, and which one is right but only you can see what you like the best. You really dont need a religion to teach your kids this though. Good luck, and I hope you find what your looking for. I know how horrible it can be to teach children to be racist towards people because of skin color or partners. But your a good parent for wanting to teach your children this!

Umm, everything but Christianity, as far as I know. To be more specific, Wicca, Buddhism and Shamanism. Those are the only ones I know of specifically that don't frown on homosexuality.

There are many Protestant denominations if you want to stay Christian. Disiples of Christ is a good one. I was raised that way, but I am an atheist now. It does preach tolerance for all, and isn't stupid enough to think that gays are bad.

Try Satanism, agnostiscm, FLDS, some Angelican churches....God hates the sin not the sinner...the gospel is the same in real Christianity..or Judaism..Islam has a zero tolerance policy

Homosexuality is classified the same as idolatry, adultery and fornication by the way and the result is in Romans 1 and Revelation 22.
